Your window cleaning prices are very cheap @shiney, down here they are more expensive.

My chap has been cleaning mine for 20 yrs +-. He has just increased the price from £5-£6 a month. Outside only. Sitting Rm. Bed Rm. Study. Bath Rm. 2 Kitchen.
Mind you. He always enjoys his cuppa & biccies and a good chat. Others pay the full price, whatever that is.

They were putting in the glass panels in the bay window and they saw a lot of white bits in the glass units. So they've got to be changed and the front door was delivered and it wasn't what we ordered, the lock didn't have a finger pull that we wanted. The man that's fitting them isn't very happy about it.
So they'll all be fitted on Tuesday.

Took delivery of a set of new cast iron 'firebricks' + new c.i. baffle plate (direct from manufacturer to cut out middle man) for our stove and replaced the knackered ones today. Got about 8m3 of logs/pallet wood ready to burn, but arranged another truck load of free pallets from a nearby builders merchants. Soon be time to put the free heating on.

The rain washes ours free of charge.

Got the bay window sorted and put the nets and curtains back up, helped hubby to put the sound system and tv back.

Weather isn't great here today so I popped into the outbuilding to make 10 gal of beer. IPA with tropical fruit notes - should be a good one.

Well finally bit the bullet and ordered a Bosch shredder.
Got lots of trees and bushes that are in need of a hard cutback this winter.

Garden bin just can't cope with the amount of stuff involved.
And I'm not queuing up for 45 minutes to get rid of it at the tip.

Don't do what a colleague of mine did with his Bosch shredder @pete - he dropped his secateurs into it, apparently resulting in a hell of a racket.

Quite a busy day here, out looking at a college for our daughter (still wondering where the years have gone!), then some shopping and treated the fish to a couple of new plants to go with their ablutions this week. Tank seems to have settled in quite nicely.

Went on a coach trip to Weston Super Mare with our walking group including a 6 mile walk from Brean to Weston, fortunately we were wearing full waterproofs as it rained heavily although it only for the first half, nearly got blown down the beach!:heehee:

I guess your garden will soon be a couple of feet higher than your neighbours Pete.

No chance of getting the locals who use wood burning stoves to take some off your hands?
