In fairness @longk, I would argue that the descent is quite equal, as is the effects of money - had Mrs Miller and Mr Major not had sufficient funding up front (as well as the right contacts) they would not have been able to afford to take the government to court. Somewhat annoyingly, not only did they crowdfund to cover the costs of doing so, but they were also awarded legal aid! Furthermore, one can never get a straight answer as to who is paying out for the likes of Steve Bray (Dave Allen) or Femi Oluwole or even LBD with some investigations seemingly leading back toward Soros funding - this is not confirmed, but directly asking does not draw any denial.

Had they not said that there would be further immigration checks on the sea ports from NI into the UK to monitor the numbers of people? Is it not therefore a calculated risk that the numbers likely to use Ireland as gateway to the UK as being extremely small? Why would someone travel from France to Ireland to get to the UK through NI?

Err..if they're prepared to cling on to the underside of a lorry, or even a plane, to gain access, I suspect that they'll find a detour to Ireland a piece of cake!

It has been mooted, no more. An absolute political hot potato as you will effectively be annexing the people of NI from the UK. Great for the Republican side but not for the Loyalist side. The DUP will never tolerate it.
Then there is the rise in popularity for Scottish independence to consider - one part of the UK (NI) will have been effectively seperated which will only boost the calls for another independence referendum north of the border.

There will be calls for independence for as long as the bampot Sturgeon is in office, and it depends on which poll you read as to whether it's more or less popular

Not quite sure you understood my point, Longk:dunno: What I was referring to was the American perpetual and accepted habit of dredging up allegations of financial misdeeds, political dirty tricks, and sexual harassment with the view of smirching a Political figures on either side. It was very rare for UK politics to produce such allegations unless they could be proved at the time, but now what appears to be happening is that Labour run organisations are being instructed to try to smear Boris in an attempt to stop BREXIT, while an unknown Lady does the same by alleging an incident that by the very fact is unprovable because of the length of time and no other witnesses, but that doesn't matter as that is not the objective because Mud sticks, and Remoaners will seize on it like a juicy bone not caring about the truth or of the questionable time of the allegations. So, again, I'm saying that British Politicians used to look on such tactics with contempt but not the Opponents of BREXIT are looking to the West, learning and adapting fast.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

I remember when my pal Hadrian had to deal with problems up there and then so did Antoninus Pius (not to mention Agricola just before both of them. I said not to mention Agricola  ):lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Haven't you heard, nobody accepts referendum outcomes.
So Scotland can have as many as they like, it won't change anything.

I understood your point, ARMANDII, but sadly, it's far from being a British phenomenon. France resisted the transatlantic infection longer than most, but the political assassination of François Fillon during the last Presidential campaign was 'worthy' of any anglo-saxon smear campaign. It's an accepted part of power struggles and political ambition the world over now. Just one more thing to thank America for :-( It's certainly not restricted to opponents of Brexit!

Annnd another thing whilst on on my high horse:old:

Just heard an interview with Boris and Beth Rigby...apart from Brexit he was being scrutinized about his personal life...
I for one couldn't give a flying fig if he has fraternized with pole dancers or squeezed someones thigh 20 years ago but I could give a flying fig about the opposition fraternizing with terrorists.Just saying...

Ooo I feel better for that.

I don't like the easy way that the Media seems be able tp be biased for one side or another, and the way MPs seem be able abandon Democracy so easily in a flood of self interest. I've always worked where ever I've been and hated Bullies, lies, harassment, double dealing and bad treatment of employees, which has caused "problems" within a Company that had at least one of those and where I had been brought in to turn things around.
I watched the goings on in Europe politics for decades with interest as my work, with the Judges, was European and EU Legislation, it's Cause and Effects on UK Laws and Legislation. There seemed to be an acceleration of trying to undermine a person in the politics when a campaign was on.
USA politics is though on a level well above the norm, where they have abandoned, with the aid of Twitter, etc, to spead rumours and down right lies freely without any redress being possible. I would not like to see an acceleration of that in the UK.

Nicola Sturgeon may be making loud noises about another referendum but I think she may regret it. I think more people here will vote against independence this time than last.
