      The current Party situation with regards to Brexit:

      - Labour say the Lib Dems will be blamed if no-deal happens;
      - Lib Dems say Mr Corbyn risks becoming the main block to stopping no-deal;
      - SNP say Labour and the Lib Dems should stop squabbling;
      - Plaid Cymru are urging everyone to calm down;
      - Conservatives getting on with Brexit by the 31st.

          Just watching Parliament and the Minister for exiting the EU answering questions from the other side. They've just complained that the Minister is being rude and confrontational when all I've heard is straightforward, plain, frank, and direct language being used to answer their questions. It's obvious that MP's do not like such plain English and still want to use vague, evasive, obscure Parlimentarian speech, so it's obvious they're still in the same mental traffic jam.:dunno::wallbanging:

            Yet, again Labour is prophesying the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse of War, Death, Famine, and Plague will ride free and wide in the UK when we leave the EU:hate-shocked::runforhills::runforhills::runforhills::runforhills::wallbanging: They tried to think of anything negative, scaremongering, alarming, catastrophic, event in order to stop BREXIT and I have a feeling they will pay for their behavious in the next General Election.:coffee:

                          Sorry mate. I doff my hat to no political party or power. I have now't to do with banking and high finance but. I believe that the UK is the 'best off' member in the EU.
                          All this rubbish about trading. Think back to the early days of this EU...Common Market. With respects, perhaps you weren't around when it all began. Apart from the UK being well-off at the time, compared to other members. Trading was very much. Never mind what you ordered. This is what you are going to get and sign for. Suddenly our shops were flooded out with european muck. I remember my sister buying a pack of pumennikle. Hey Sis. What the hell is this? It looked like squares of soggy cardboard. Believe me it tasted the same. Not that the British housewife wanted to buy such goods, by whatever means, if you like. The demon servant of the EU became a dictator. So during the course of time. The many less financial stable countries rushed to join. Countries with starving families etc. Here was the 'soup kitchen' of the past. Now years on. Be honest, be reasonable. If you and your family were on hard times and short of a good meal. Be honest. Would you vote to get rid of, or even allow one, if not the only one of your benefactors from leaving , and thus in effect to take the bread an soup from your table. Would you not driven by need. Vote in. Objection for the UK to leave the EU.

                            @Mike Allen - I agree wholeheartedly, but..... I think we need to be a wee bit careful with terms like 'foreign muck; I am 99.9% sure you mean that back when those things appeared on our shelves they were viewed as foreign muck, or that people felt they were - indeed, I remember my own dad using that very phrase for things like garlic bread or curry, and to be honest also applying that thinking to foods from outside the EU. Things are quite different now, and I would say that there is extremely few (if any!) people who would view foodstuffs originating outside the UK as foreign muck. Please don't take this as a ticking off, as that is not how it is intended - merely an attempt to expand a little on one of the phrases used lest it cause offence.

                            As for the car industry, Brexit has nothing to do with their problems. The EU do, but Brexit doesn't. I will expand in more detail later if anyone is at all interested.

                              Sorry to button-hole you but you sound like a leaver. Other than border control, where we'll (hopefully) control immigration, how will removing ourselves from our neighbouring trading bloc better ourselves?

                              We all voted leave as we were sick of stories of one-legged roofers, etc. There's been surveys and that referendum was about immigration and border control.

                              But this will wreak terrible economic damage. T May knew this and she tried to finesse a break that would satisfy the referendum result in name only while keeping us in financially, etc.

                              But I've never understood what was in it for the brexiteers?

                              Boris's sister claims it is simply so his backers (who are City types) can 'bet' on a lowered £? Are a select group going to ruin a country simply to enrich themselves financially?

                              I would like a leaver to explain where the UK will benefit, cheers.
