          Hi,

Another wet black hole; I don't know what the temperature is like because I've not yet fully woken up. Looks like Blackie's in residence again today.

          Kind regards, Colin.

We had some drizzle yesterday but no rain and the forecast thunderstorm didn't appear.

This morning it is mild, dry, no wind and overcast.

                    Hi,

When you've put the wallflowers in Logan I'll let Blackie pop down to water them in saving you a job. :)

I can only dream of 20C Victoria; our forecast is for an high of 13C today.

Thanks wiseowl; you've summed it up well for first thing this morning; when I looked out at 6 o'clock it was very dark and everything as usual soaking wet. Bron and I have just returned from a local garden centre and Blackie didn't accompany us; he must be tired after his night shift? The sun has put in a brief appearance; we'll need Blackie though in about half an hour or so; our patio is starting to dry out. It feels chilly.

                    Kind regards, Colin.

                            Hi,

WOW; our patio is almost dry and apart from a soaking wet start no rain today SO FAR. I've just been making the most of it; I climbed over the dry stone wall bordering the top of the mountain onto the lane to do more hoeing. For months we've had a very friendly black cat visit us from the other side of the lane but we've not seen her for about 3 weeks; we thought she lived in the house directly across the lane from us. As I worked I heard wheelie bins being moved so I looked over the garden wall and through the shrubs I could see a guy so I shouted to catch his attention and asked if he had a minute please? I asked him if he had a very friendly black cat with a collar but no he hadn't; however he did tell me Soots the cat also visits him from a house a bit further away; he too hasn't seen Soots for a short while.

Bron and I have only lived here 32 years so are still comers in and this is the first time meeting this guy; he's called John we introduced ourselves and had a natter. John will let me know if he finds anything out about Soots; I miss her keeping me company in the garden and both Bron and I are very concerned about her; we hope she's well.

Genuine friends are extremely rare and we think the world of Soots bringing only cheer into our life whilst wanting only friendship from us; I've always got a small bag of biscuits in a pocket and Bron always thrusts a saucer of biscuits under her chin.

Brilliant sunshine has just put in a brief appearance; today turned out much better than expected after all. Life can be so good.

                            Kind regards, Colin.

Thanks Colin but i didn't get round to planting any wallflowers, it started raining so everything was wet it wasn't supposed to.Might be able to do them on Thursday.

Been damp all day and cloudy but not cold.

Colin sorry that you haven't seen soots, it's very worrying when something happens like that. :cry3:

                                Hi,

Many thanks Logan; I hope Soots is either in a cattery whilst owners are on holiday or they've simply moved home; I think the world of my little chum and just hope she's safe and happy.

Good luck on Thursday with your wallflowers. :dbgrtmb:

We've got Marigolds in our front garden for the first time and they are now fading so I'm unsure what to do; whether to cut them back or remove them and start over from scratch next year? I'm learning on a need to know basis.

                                Kind regards, Colin.
