Because we have to look to the future after Brexit, FC:dunno: After Brexit we and Boris are going to need a Conservative Government that has a working majority when we have a General Election.
. We don't want a Hung Parliament and we don't want a Labour Government and so I will vote, if I have to, for a Remainer Conservative MP who, after the Election will have no reason to go out of line after Brexit and will be part of the working majority. So those who want a Government with a majority will have to vote for their Conservative MP Remainer or not:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

If, and it remains an if, if Boris manages to get Brexit over the line then yes, he will need support and a working majority. I have never voted Tory in my life, however I may concede to give my support on one occasion as he and my current MP have at least stood by their manifesto and the mandate given to them at the polls.

If my MP did not respect the wishes of their constituents on the biggest issue to face this country since WWII, then I would have zero belief that they would do so on any other vote or issue. Indeed, anyone who has done so this time around should be removed from office and barred from politics in future in my book.

Hung parliament, well I am less worried about that one - we need to get away from FPTP, and we need to get away from the old two-party dominated system, so enough hung parliaments might get the message across that we think they are all rubbish and we need to be starting from scratch.

As for Corybyn getting the keys to No.10 - not as long as you have a hole in your backside.

You should be as we will be in the same state then as now.:wallbanging:...........and we don't want that.

I have been a life long Labour voter until Corbyn and his cronies came into power. So what is left? Liberal?........I don't think so!! So, if we want a Government with a working majority that allows it to continue sorting out the EU during the two year transition period then the only choice is Conservative as it is the one that, hopefully, got us there.

Well, if that government wants a working majority, perhaps it needs to field the right candidates - and until it does, no votes for their old ones.

If only it was that simple!!:dunno:. The people who vote Conservative will want to vote for the MP they know and not some new candidate..........that would only add more indecision and confusion to the already chaotic situation!! The need for a Government with a working majority overides any desire to push out the standing MPs, rebels or not.
Once there is a working majority after Brexit and the General Election and things have settled down we will know more where we're going. None of the rebels will have any choice but to get in line after Brexit and I doubt if the Government will want to do any blood letting as that will threaten the working majority and, anyway, look like petty vengeance to the Public. I think, after the General Election, there will be blood letting in the Labour Party with a possible challenge to Corbin from Starmer and McDonnell with Starmer taking over leadership. But, again, we need a Government with a working majority after Brexit and the General Election so it can override a Labour, Liberal and SNP oppostion when negotiating with the EU regarding trade deals, anything less will just give the Opposition the chance to block and delay things just as they are doing now.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Just a thought, being as I remain neutral.
In the future event of a General Election and assuming we leave the EU on the 31st. Some may take it that the Conservatives triumphed here and desrve the votes at the polls.

However during the three plus years of negotiations etc along with some political calls for another referendum. The latter having been ignored. On this point I would say stick to what folk originally demanded. Nevertheless at the polls, the tables may be turned yet once again, against the Tories, due to the fact that there was a change of heart fo some/many, probably brought about by total hotch-potch way in which the leaders of the UK have continually blundered about.

Over the years I've voted, variously, for different parties. Primarily for the MP I think would be best for the constituency and secondly for the policy of the parties. Sometimes these have clashed .

No matter who our future candidates are I could not possibly vote for a Labour candidate whilst Corbyn is leader of the party. Admittedly, it has been fairly easy voting for me for the last three elections as our MP has been a superb constituency MP and his opposition made a statement to the press, printed in the local papers, about the MP that I knew was a pack of lies.

Then those people are the very ones leading us back into more grief, as those MP's that have failed have clearly done so in plain sight. The government may not want to do any blood letting lest it look like petty vengeance, but the public should - at what other point do we have an opportunity to hold these people to account and more importantly get the message across to parliament that we have had enough of their goings-on? If I had a driver who rocked up to work late most days, or went off and drove where he felt was the best way to get somewhere, would I keep him just because he is a nice bloke, I know him and I need drivers for when my new route starts? Would I hell as like. MP's are employees, OUR employees and it is about time they started behaving like it.

As for SNP opposition, the only reason that is as strong as it is, is because of the weakness of the Labour Party - - people in Scotland will never, ever, vote Tory, and the Lib Un-Dems are viewed as being not all that far off the ranks of the Monster Raving Loony party, that leaves the home grown SNP. Thankfully, it seems that there is a groundswell against them too - firstly, they are making a right mess of running the country (education and health is a disaster) and secondly folks are fed up of listening to their constant squeals about IndyRef2. If Labour sorted their house out, they might (after a while) have a chance in Scotland and Northern England again, but until then I suspect that people simply will not vote.

I think Herr Starmer, Watson etc should challenge Corbyn now before the election. It must be fairly clear that Jez is a waste of space and not the figurehead they require for a serious Opposition party. Doubt they have time but going into an election without JC at the healm would give Labour a better fighting chance. Not that I want them to have that mind you!

I see they already have Boris' letter writing in the courts - Court to decide if PM's Brexit delay tactic lawful

Not sure how they could find against it as he did precisely what parliament forced upon him, to the letter (pun intended!). Not his fault that they didn't dot as many i's or cross as many t's as they smugly thought they had. What annoys me most is that he got them a deal and they were there to vote on it and if they just did that and got on with it then no request for extension would have been required. It's petty and purile.

Unfortunately, Starmer is backed by McDonnell who is backed by Momentum, the extremists of Labour. Momentum has a great deal of power among the ranks of the Labour Party itself and tried to get rid of Watson just recently because he is a middile of the road traditional Labour man, so Watson would have no chance in a Leadership challenge.:wallbanging::dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Surely, not at the price of a Hung Parliament and a Government with no working majority for another 5 years ? We, just had 3 years, and more, of a Government unable to get through the result of the Referendum because of Labour, SNP, Liberals and the Tory rebels.......and vengeance voting by constituents right now, before or after Brexit, would merely ensure more chaos and a Government unable to get much needed legislation through. Hmm. OK but the point was really that Labour just need a new leader to get anywhere. That said, Watson survived that so the Momentum bunch obviously didn't have enough sway that time round...

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bercow doesn't allow the vote to go ahead today using it's the same item as debated before as an excuse, just to further frustrate the exit
