As I thought, the MPs have kicked Brexit into the long grass yet again, I can't see a general election solving anything, it just Boris calling labours bluff.
        Its basically getting us nowhere.

It needs the EU to put the screws on the MPs and state, take the deal or you are out, but they won't do that, will they?
Because they dont want us to leave either, even though we are a thorn in their sides.
        We give them MONEY.

No they won;t do that. Not just the money but they want to be seen as the sensible reasonable ones who did what they could...

GE on the 12th won't be very good timing at all :(

Not really accurate, pete. A General Election should, hopefully, return Boris with a Government that has a working majority. If that does happen then Boris will have the power to push through BREXIT as the Opposition will be in the minority, which is why Boris wants a General Election. Corbyn is under the impression that Labour will win and he will be the Prime Minister and have his picture hung on the wall at No.10 along with past Prime Ministers, it's his Lifelong ambition/fantasy.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Yeah yeah yeah, T May thought that as well, its not likely to happen, the lib/dems will suck in all the remain voters, labour will still get their staunch supporters, the Irish bunch will still vote their way and if the Brexit party decides to join in they will split the vote for the tories.

I can only see it ending up more split than it is now.

I'm afraid that is how I see it, and I did foresee Boris asking for an extension, its no good kidding yourself, the system is there to "protect" us from this kind of thing.
Unfortunately we have probably the most undemocratic democracy in the world due to our sticking to what was considered democratic about 400yrs ago.

Its showing signs of creaking, because we have a big issue going on, the likes of which we have probably not seen since WW2.

You and I are in compete agreement, pete, but I tend to look at things a bit more positive otherwise..............

One thing that has bothered and irked me throughout this mess is the really negative and indirect sneering and undermining bythe Press, the BBC Journalists, Sky Journalists, etc, of any attempts by Boris to get BREXIT done. They seem to pass over any success he has had and look for any negative angles that they can; so I think the Media is in just a mess as Parliament.

The media are part of the "system" the one that "protects" us.

We are far too small and insignificant to know what is best for us, and they are there as a guiding light to make sure we don't over step into something we don't understand.

The BBC are doing their best to guide us, along with a few newspapers aimed mostly at the well off individual.

Unfortunately for Boris he has his enemies, hell bent on no Brexit and no Boris, he's a two way loser.
But I hope he pulls it off at some stage, but I'm not holding my breath.

To be fair, plenty of countries are experiencing similar issues - the US, Israel, Hong Kong... there's a huge swathe of the populace that are just malcontent with the status quo (who continue to rock all over the world...) and every last scrap of information, right and wrong, are boosted through social media. It will inevitably lead to a change in how governance is performed but not anytime soon as governments are unable to change quickly (too much ineptitude in such things plus background manipulators)
