Sunny and windy today, 9C/48F. As the day has progressed the temperature has dropped and is currently at 3C/37F.

 

Heavens, it's warmer here! Not by much but I shivered whilst reading your post!

 

We've seen very little sun here in the Highlands this year @CanadianLori so temperatures have been lower than usual. With the ground and climate having stayed cooler it probably means a colder winter will follow.

Many thanks for your kind wishes wiseowl; you too have a wonderful and highly successful day building your new nest.

I hadn't realized Blackie had a son so thanks for the welcome introduction to Greyee; I doubt Greyee will be as bad tempered as his father and although I don't wish Blackie on you wiseowl I'd willingly do a swap any day. Now we've got Blackie my personal black cloud; Gale my personal wind turbine; Snowy when Blackie needs a rest and now Greyee Blackies son. On rare occasions Sonny puts in a brief appearance but he doesn't mix well with the rest of them so tends to keep his distance.

For new members please note I'm a senior citizen and have a strange family.

I've got my happy face on today; I've just been practicing TIG welding aluminium which is challenging.

First frost last night. Luckily the soft palms and yuccas were brought in the night before. Still chilly and grey.
Off to get some bales of straw, snow forecast for some up on the hills.

 

Light rain on and off most of the day but the gale force winds are back again, mild at 14c.

 

Another lovely sunny, cold and very windy day, 7C/45F. A little snow on high ground this morning.

Ooooo, what birdies are you going to have @wiseowl ?

 

@Retired it appears Blackie has a cousin here in Ontario, Canada. The sun has been blotted out long enough that my batteries are not fully charging and struggle to run the night lights and fans in the greenhouses. They are pooping out after only an hour or so.

We have been promised this cousin will be visiting until Sunday but Monday is forecast to be a cracker of the day.

Daytime temps have only been reaching the low 50'sF slowly dropping a degree or more each day. Itchy right leg weather has definitely arrived!
