    Hi,

Many thanks ARMANDII; the suits still drying out from last time I used it.:)

What's happening; it hasn't rained for five minutes?

Below is my automatic shoe wash.

    Kind regards, Colin.

Not much done but for watching it rain , it finally did stop around 1-2pm .

Weather forecast is for it to freeze for the next 3 nights so the Ensete maurlii had to be lifted out of its pot , I snapped my towel trying to cut / lever it out of its pot, its in the kitchen now in a bucket draining excess water out. Think I'll be very busy packing away the dahlias and tidying up over the next few weeks. Need to take in tender plant from the GH into the house tomorrow and take some cutting of saliva and fuchsia.

Well, last night I managed to get home after an 11 hr drive - normally 8 hrs without torrential rain and accidents.

Today we tried to sort the garden. I was doing weeding/clearing/pruning whilst hubby cut the grass... until the wheel alignment failed, dropping three of the wheels from highest to lowest setting, mid cut.

So, gardening curtailed, as we loaded the mower into the car and drove to the DIY shop for a repair, as it is less than 4 yrs into the 5yr guarantee. We will have to wait 4-5 weeks for it to be fixed.

Did get a load of washing dried too, if that counts?

It was mild and dry yesterday so I got another 500sq ft of pressure hosing done (that's all my back allows me to do :old: :noidea:). It looks a lot better so I'n pleased with it. Another two or three days will have it finished :blue thumb:

We've been preparing the greenhouse for moving things out of the frost that they say is coming tonight. That meant removing the last of the tomato plants, selling off, cheaply, another twenty chilli plants and I sold another six wisteria. :dbgrtmb:

Today we'll move things around and tidy up. Early this morning I fitted the rest of the chillies into the revamped propagator and that should keep them producing into the new year. Mrs Shiney will decide on what else goes into the propagator buty still leaving room for Sarafi. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

It was quite nippy out there this morning but the sun is warming up the greenhouse.

Stopped raining here. For the next few days I'm confined to my armchair and bed. Was released from Guys late Friday afternoon. Still a lot of pain. The hospitals try and get you out and home asap.

Total wash out yesterday meant that I did very little in the garden. Potted on 5 Ensete ventricosum - first time Ive had Ensete seed germinate. Potted on some of the echeveria that I grew from seed and that was about it.

Today I've sealed the bottom doors of the polytunnel and one of the top doors as they are really draughty with the gaps around the frames. Cut down the chillies - there was plenty more fruit to ripen but I need the space for tender plants. Ive moved another 10 or so plants onto the tunnel and will move more in after Ive filled the agave planter with gravel.

Cleared out the GH of tomato plants and cues and gave it a good wash down...Dead headed the Cosmos and Roses..Need to rake the leaves up off the lawns but far to wet to be trampling on the them.Filled the bird feeders up and gave the chook run and coop a 'good do'...Now I'm sat outside enjoying this glorious sunshine,it's a tad nippy but nowt a woolly pully won't fix..:dbgrtmb:
