Times like this perhaps makes me dreamfully I am like Lord Sugar. To stand up in the house. Thank you Mister Speaker. Turn around and about and shout. You're all fired, also Mister speaker. That includes you.

To think the public supported their local candidates to run the country's affares and now the hous is more like a kindergarden. Chuck the lot onto the compost heap and start again.

Best I can make out is that it’s a mad scrabble for everyone. Nothing good can come of that and the EU will try to accommodate everyone as they’re so ‘reasonable’... voting on the GE later

3 more days to go - then we will be free of the EU :dbgrtmb:.

I see that BoJo has today put in place his plans to prevent congestion at Dover and the Euro Tunnel.

Can't. These politicians keep getting in the way! It's a completely futile effort at this point. So many politicians seem to forget that they are there to implement the will of the people, not promote their own agendas, and the people voted for Out without any conditions attached.

                      Some plan that is.:frown:
Basically turning a good free running motorway into a lorry park, even though its not needed.
                      Absolute stupidity.

Well, anyone care to try and dissuade me that we are living in a dictatorship? If this sort of thing happened in another country, our lot would be all over it, condemning the actions of their politicians and leaders.

The whole premise of our society is that you pay your taxes, you abide by the laws and you get to have your vote to decide on the direction that the country should take. If that vote is not carried out and respected, then what of society?

I see they've wussed out on the election. Shocker.
Was saying earlier I'm quite surprised that there's been no civil unrest over how parliament is carrying on. With a close to 50:50 split and tempers running high it can't continue like this forever can it. It just feels like it lol
Maybe they're waiting on the 5th...

I share your feelings @Fat Controller , but I've never understood a so called democracy where the usual "party" in control very rarely has more than half the votes.

In this case the vote was over 50% of those that actually bothered to vote, so compared to a general election a clear cut decision, but then they are allowed to alter things along the way, like giving Parliament the final say, which then kind of makes the referendum meaningless.

It does kind of have signs of what tends to happen in some African countries where things are rigged all the time, but they like to appear democratic , so let the morons vote from time to time, but the outcome will be already concieved.

Between the Speaker, the Courts, the Hierarchy and the MP remainers the final outcome is already cast, and there aint a thing anyone can do about it.

I am also amazed - I have seen some 'noises' about it elsewhere online, but nothing specific. The thing is, they can't keep kicking the can down the road, and they can't keep denying people the result that they voted for. They can give all the bull:poo: answers they want, but the blunt truth of the matter is that they are not delivering on the result of a democratic vote, and that therefore means that they are dictating to us what happens - a dictatorship.
