I always thought a dictatorship involved just one person running a country, mainly by force???

I dont think we have that, but we do have some very dodgy things going on between certain people and the EU.
A dictatorship no, but corruption, maybe.

Not overly sure myself other than the hope that people will move away from voting for the 'default' parties and vote for MP's that are actually willing to deliver on their promises. P45's should be dished out aplenty.

To be honest. Most of the time I can't understand what the hell is going on.
During the short time Boris has been PM, it appears he has made or covered more ground than others have done over the past three years. Set aside his personality, and consider what he has done. He has made many claims regarding his plans. Each time he has been blocked by members of the house. IMO this does no warrant him being continually called a liar. Negotiations with members of the EU have taken place, taken to the house and blocked.

Today I watched the BBC TV News. MP's from all sides are shouting such as. We are NOT GOING TO LEAVE. 'Hey MUPPETS' Your constituents, the British public, voted three years ago to leave. Now the,'Employed' the MP's are dictating to their employer, 'The British public and voters. Image. You as an emplyer and one day being told in no uncertain terms. Boss! Stuff what you say or want. We are going to do it'MY'way. My friend FC this fits in with your comment.
IMO the idea and probabilities of a General Election is, as I see it. OK. Let the populus decide. Of course the victors of such an election will enter or re-enter the arena now saddled with this long running fiasco.

cannot see that we will be worse off, once out of the EU. This IMO applies both ways. Marketing, you have the buyers and sellers on both sides.Even in today climate, much relates to bartering. OK perhaps for a time import/export charges may crop up. This is all part of buisiness. I wonder why, especially in the food marketing, are so many what we call, 'cheapy store are setting up here. Why are so many europeans and migrants risking life and limb to live here in Britain? As I have commented before. The EU don't want us to leave. Be honest. Would YOU want to get rid of the hen that lays the golden egg?????????????????????

They're banking on a huge majority in the commons so better able to make a choice and get it passed.

Absolutely! I find it deeply annoying when I should just find it mildly amusing that a politician has the bare faced cheek to call another politician a liar and especially so given it is the very name callers that are forcing the situation.

As I said before, May went down that route and that's what got us to where we are now.

Same gamble but different times. May was just plain stupid to do what she did but Boris has nothing to lose

He changed his mind then. In Parliament parlance... "HE'S A LIAR AND YOU CANNOT TRUST HIM!!"

Plus, he only did it as he was about to be left behind by the SNP and Lib Dems that had already said they'll probably support whatever it is that's being released into the wild today (presumably because they also saw that the tories only need a majority to pass this one.)

Yet more idiocy of putting 16 and 17 year olds onto the electoral role... aside from being a blatant way of delaying things yet more I wholly disagree with minors being included in the running of the country! Hormones running riot and voting as their parents tell them?!

There was a proposal put forward at a couple of universities that anyone over 70 should not be allowed to vote. Idiots! :old: If I'm not allowed to vote can I stop paying tax? Oh! I forgot , I don't pay tax anyway :heehee:

On the radio I heard a Labour MP saying that a lot of his fellow party members think we shouldn't have the election in December because the university students will be disenfranchised as they won't be in the constituency (at the university) where they are registered because they would have gone home. It was pointed out to him that the students are allowed to register in both places but only vote in one. He then got aggressive and said that they would have too much on their minds because of Christmas to be able to register back at home. The interviewer virtually called him an idiot and said that if they couldn't spare ten minutes to register on line they didn't deserve to vote. :heehee:
