Been trying to paint the kitchen ceiling but the paint is oil based that covers stains on paintwork ,but the part of the ceiling that I wanted to put it on was all wet and the paint wouldn't stick to it. So i might have to just use emulsion and do it properly in the spring. I'm going to try and dry it with a cloth to see if that works. The ceiling is close to the window and there's a beam about 3 ft away so the moisture gets trapped there. Have got a electric fan that i put on when cooking but it doesn't clear the moisture.
I've been thinking of getting a better cooker hood to see if that works.

finishing a nice trip away up in Poconos, PA at Woodloch resort. Beautiful place. worth going. amazing how many nationalities are here from other countries. Evidently well know . It sits on 500 acres. Have some pics. Driving back home today, stayed 3 nights. Got massage, facial, pedicure. Meals included. Service awesome. Got some shots from walking about in the woods. My day has been full of a variety of chores. We had a pretty strong wind last night that blew one of my solar panels a bit askew so I got the ladder out and secured it again. I barbecued some things for supper and figured I would cover the barbecue for the season as it is pretty frosty out there but the wind must have decided I don't need the cover as it is nowhere to be found. Luckily the cover for the wood stove didn't disappear too as they were side by each!
I had to run up and down the stairs several times to put away the Halloween decorations. Only had a few children last night as it was nasty with wind and rain. Now I need to store, out of sight, all of those little chocolate bars that are leftover. Too much temptation!
I printed off a PDF pattern on paper then pasted it together. It's for a pair of trousers. Then I traced it on a sheet of plastic and folded the original print like a map and stored it. The plastic copy takes up less space and I can file these in little folders to keep on hand and reuse whenever I want plus it's easier to match up stripes or whatever when you can see through the pattern.

I had to do some grocery shopping and also pick up a bottle of Crown Royal for a friend.

I noticed one of the lights outside in a small greenhouses didn't come on last night so I'm heading out there now to trace the wires to see what got pulled loose and fix that too. They only are programmed to come on for a couple of hours before 9 and then leave darkness for the star gazers.

After I've finished that fix, I am going to sit down with a red wine spritzer and watch an episode of the old Perry Mason series. :)

Tomorrow is going to be much, much busier. It's low time of use rates for electricity so I have to catch up with all of the laundry, vacuuming, baking and much more. I guess the devil won't be coming near these hands!

They are very useful @Logan , we've had ours for a couple of years now. Which one have you got?
We have the Show downstairs and the Dot upstairs and also my tablet has Show mode .

Our eldest son has the Show too which is great as we can literally 'drop in' on one another visually for a catch up. My older sister has a smaller Show and that has been so useful in checking that all is well with her since I have returned home from looking after her. My Dad and brother each have an Echo Smart Speaker, so although there isn't a visual contact we can still have an instant audio link. I have an Aunt who has an Echo Dot too. So very good for keeping in contact with family and friends.

There are so many uses ...I love the latest one , Burglar Deterrent!!. This is useful if you are alone and someone knocks on the door, it sounds like you're not alone.

The music is good too , I showed my Dad how to select a decade and he hasn't stopped playing 30s and 40s hits!!!

I also upload a different garden photo on the Show each month and that makes a nice display on the bookshelf.:dbgrtmb:

Have fun finding all the things it can do, handy for recipes too....just say what ingredients you have and it will come up with a choice!!:awesome:

Thanks and yes they are great to find out things, Get notifications if there's a parcel going to arrive. We've got the echo and the echo dot.
The echo sounds better because it's got more speakers in than the echo dot.
I love to play music on it instead of putting the sound system on. Hubby uses it to turn things on with the smart plugs both the echoes are very good.
You can ask it to remind you of when a programme starts or anything like that, if you want to put a timer for so many minutes or hours.

I never knew about the echo show or the smart speaker, but that's great what you can do with it.
Friend Keith has a echo dot and he uses it as a Burgler Detergent and all the other things that i mentioned.
                            :awesome:
