    I fully understand what you mean @Snorky85 but just my humble opinion again...I don't support 'Hunting' but do support culling where needed for the sake of the environment.
    At the end of the day this Country has more pressing problems that need sorting right now.:blue thumb:

        From a voting point of view I don't actually have a problem as my MP does an excellent job of looking after his constituents and also standing up for the individual. He is also severely disabled and fights their corner as well.

        Over the years I have voted for both Labour and Conservative and tend to vote for the constituency representative and not the party, but could not possibly vote Labour whilst Corbyn is leading the party. It is not just anecdotal evidence of antisemitism that colours my opinion but from direct experience of witnessing it. I'm not able to go into details but it's something overheard. :mute: Whether the overheard comment was intentional or not is beside the point.

        On a slightly lighter note, very many years ago I had a Labour canvasser knock on my door about the local election. They asked me what job I did and when I told them they said "Oh! Your one of the Workers so you'll be voting Labour, then?".

        My response was "That's a rather naive and stupid comment! On that premise I would have to vote Conservative as I'm hoping to end up a millionaire", and slammed the door in their face.

        Needless to say, I didn't vote for their candidate. :heehee:

          Well, I watched Ian Austin, Snorky, the ex Labour MP, now an Independent, who was in genuine great distress explaining why he, as a long standing, traditional Labour person was trying to explain why he was recommending that other Labour voters should vote for the Consersvatives. When asked he said "Well, it's like this, Corbyn is unsuitable as a Leader of the country, not to be trusted and a security threat. In reality, there are only two choices, Corbyn or the Conservatives. Corbyn is unfit to govern but although the Conservatives have done things I disagree with, I cannot say that they are unfit for Government whereas Corbyn and the Labour Party is unfit and not to be trusted". Austin was in real emotional distress because of what he was having to say and I believed he was genuine.
          I think @woo put it succinctly in saying, I think..........

          "Liberal Democrats = Staying in the EU.

          Conservatives = Brexit

          Labour = 2 Referendums"

          I've was, along with my Wife, a life long Labour voter until Corbyn became the Leader of the Labour Party and I couldn't, from the start and in conscience, ever support him, McDonnell, Starmer, Abbot, and the extremists or vote for them. I think we really are in a historical crisis that we all don't like but has been repeated before in different political circumstances where events from different political sides has brought about a political "Supernova".
          My view is that, after a National Referendum of which the result was to leave the EU, to disregard that result and, after more than 3 years of a Parliament dissolving into a mire of crass mental stupidity, medieval political plotting and attempts to stop Brexit, would bring about a collapse of Parliament and possible violence in the streets by a public sick to the heart of such a Parliament. So, in my opinion, the only road out of this crisis is to complete Brexit and leave the EU, that in itself, will bring a natural end to the conflict as all parties will have no option to try to restore democracy. I also think that the old Parliament and the MP's will suffer the consequences of their actions, Labour will get worse as it goes down the road of extremism, while the Lib Dem's will increase their MP's in number.

          Absolutely, but if you look at History, Political crisis has happened before and will happen again.

                  I know you weren't asking me.;):biggrin:
                  But I'd like add my slant on why I vote Tory, even before Brexit came along I've voted Tory, I think I did once vote Labour but that was a long time ago.

                  This might sound strange, but without those rich people around with cash to splash I'd probably be scratching around for work, and this goes for quite a few people in this country.
                  As long as they have the money, and are spending it, the wealth is being distributed, clamp down on them, and they will stop spending or simply just leave the country.

                  I agree, its a balancing act getting it right but I just think the Labour bunch we have now will push things too far the other way, at the same time spending too much of our money.

                    Bbbbbut, pete, taking that to it's logical conclusion, we'll be back in the 'good old days' of seigneurs and serfs! I don't think any of the traditional parties have an idealogy of 'get educated, work hard and you'll get your just reward', much less that you actually get to keep a correct proportion of what you've earned.

                      I don't think we've ever got out of it, noisette:dunno::heehee:. The "seigneurs" are now Accountants who have taken over national/global companies or those who have hung onto their coat tails.
                      Perhaps the working class no longer doff their caps or touch their forelock and have the vote, but the super rich and rich will always exist and 99% of the working class would like to be in their position. If anything the situation has got worse, with more
                      Multi-Billionaires/Millionaires than in history. So, while we don't bow to the super rich nowadays, pete is right the "good old days of serfs and seigneurs" are still here, but in a different more subtle form.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

                        Yeah, well that kind of sounds very good, get educated and go on to get rich?

                        Far too many getting educated beyond their intelligence these days.

                        Which is why we have to import the "serfs" from other countries to do the sh***y jobs our lot are too proud to do.

                        What ever happened to those that just wanted a reasonable living out of doing an honest days work, even if that meant getting dirty in the process.

                            I did wonder about posting all the MP's that have resigned, complete with whether they voted leave or remain, and how their constituencies voted, but it is getting ever longer! I might see if I can't do some sort of abridged version, as it does make interesting reading...
