A lot of almost black cloud around today, and even though they were threatening it remained dry - even had some sunshine. 4C/39F

Yesterday was sunny and warm in the sun but cold in the shade. Car frosted over by 9 p.m.

This morning there is less frost  Sun hasn't woken up yet so don't know if he's coming out to play.

              Hi,

A typical Yorkshire summers day today; black hole; miserable; gloomy and of course ever faithful Blackie watering our sodden gardens and everything else outside. It's not all bad news because like this morning visiting the three local supermarkets is now a water sport.

              Kind regards, Colin.

                  Hi,

Thanks for asking Upsy; :) yes it's spring; summer; autumn and winter here full time with very little change in the year long dire weather; it could be any season of the year as I look at Blackie doing his thing as usual this morning. I can see the keyboard though without the desklamp being switched on so it must be summer? :hapydancsmil:

                  Kind regards, Colin.

Know what you mean Colin, our front room can get quite dark in winter despite the nearby trees shedding their leaves. Depressing at times isn't it.:autlvs:

                      Hi,

Thanks Upsy; depressing at times; it's depressing all the time given our climate but I enjoy moaning about it.

Recent deep flooding is all over the media it being more bad news to grab headlines but give it another week and the circus moves to the next town looking for the next disaster leaving all the flood victims totally forgotten to get on with their lives best they can mostly without a thought or any help at all.

                      2004 Boscastle flood - Wikipedia

Just two such examples above; media news then move on and forget?

                      Kind regards, Colin.

Tis dry 4c, been out cleaning a culvert at the bottom of garden as the pipe was blocked the water was going over top of a track and going into our ditch and washing the bank away, the water was 5 feet deep the other side and back up that ditch and up the land drains which also flooded the field next door, as I had the drain rods out I set to unblocking the pipe from our side, with in 5 minutes it was clear, the two foot pipe flowed full bore for 1 hour and now the field isn't flooded and the ditches are flowing nicely now, so another good job done
