    Hi,

Thanks shiney; I'm careful not to be impolite but simply wet somehow doesn't describe the result of Blackies endeavours trying to wash the gardens and bungalow from the valley side. :mute:

    Definition of SODDEN

Yes I'm not being naughty. :dbgrtmb:

I was amazed when I wandered up to the top of the mountain this afternoon armed with the hoe; Blackie had put down so much rain it's compacted the top layer of soil where the soil is bare. :wallbanging:

    Kind regards, Colin.

Barely reached 17c today with a real feel of 13c. Going down tonight to 7c, real feel 3c. Nasty winds with 56kms gusts. :yikes: :hate-shocked: I am in the south of Portugal, am I not? Have the heat on and electric under blanket on the bed.

A top temperature of 47f with a breeze coming from the East and surprisingly dry with completely cloudy skies. Right now the temperature is now 43f, the breeze is still coming from the East, and the skies are still cloudy, with a pressure reading of 989hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Had a mild day. Temperature hovering around 34f. Clouds, brilliant sunshine, then clouds. We aren't expecting more snow until maybe tomorrow afternoon.

The batteries appreciated the sunshine and only one didn't get fully topped up.

And it is cozy in the house. The only thing cold is the ice cubes in my spritzer :heehee:

Rather on the cool side but no frost and not the slightest breeze. It's brightening up a little so is likely to be good for gardening.

A lovely bright sunny start to our weekend here, looks as if we're in for a fairly good one too.:dbgrtmb: Temps today are predicted to be in the 9C to 0C range. Feel sorry for our son and his girlfriend who are flying home from the lovely warm temps of the Canary Islands today. Think they might just notice a chill :yikes:!!!:heehee:

                        Hi,

You'll feel nice and snug with the heating on and a warm bed Victoria.

This week Bron and I bought a new 13.5 Tog duvet and new electric blanket from Argos online having them delivered; around £95 including delivery. We change our electric blanket every five years or so because it gets a lot of use. This time we bought a king size electric blanket for our double bed because double bed sizes have been shrinking in size over the years as most things have whilst manufacturers cut corners; the king size is a perfect fit.

Since putting these on the bed I've overslept 3 mornings; I can't remember the last time I overslept because I'm up at 6 o'clock every morning to make mugs of tea then take these back to bed for an hour until we get up at 7 o'clock; for 24 years I used to get up for work at 6 o'clock and for the last 19 years in retirement I've done the same so how bizarre I suddenly start to get up late; it might be just a coincidence because my job was hugely stressful deeply affecting me; perhaps at last the stress is finally leaving me and I can relax? Bron and I wouldn't be without our electric blanket it being sheer luxury to climb into a warm bed each night; it's an all night underblanket having three settings so if really cold can be left on all night. :yahoo:

Blackie's trying to put more rain down but I don't know he's being so bashful having had a lifetime's practice of giving us a good soaking; early days yet and no doubt he'll get his act together. it's the usual miserable black hole so I'll force myself to spend time in the workshop.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

                        Kind regards, Colin.

Dull, dark but dry here. No wind and not cold but still puddles out there . Forcast says no rain at all today. In fact, none until 5am tomorrow morning...
                          We'll see...

Dry and not as dull as yesterday where had a little rain. There's no breeze so that, probably is helping the temperature get to 48f, while the skies have total cloud cover.
