Yikes that's quite a list! Love the one about them not answering emails though :D

What I don't get is the reason for it. What is it that makes independence from the rest of the UK so important? They'll have less money for starters, no defence ability at all (or money to pay for it), and natural resources that are dwindling fast and unemployment is on the rise (Unemployment in Scotland rises by 20%).

So what's the actual benefit of independence? If I had to guess it's because they reckon the EU will bung them a load of cash. But why would they? Scotland will have to apply for membership and then years later they might get entry but actually probably not. They don;t have enough to offer!

Work better with Westminster; find better people to do the whole relationship thing. FFS they already have incredible devolved powers so start using them more intelligently!! The people running Scotland are doing them a huge disservice imo.

I see Mr Blair has been circulating on the TV giving his "learned" opinion on Brexit and the state of Parliament. There are few people who turn my stomach when seeing them, those being Corbyn, Sturgeon, and Trump. But, I have found that Blair is in a class of his own when affecting the state of my stomach.
He came into Politics in 1974 as Prime Minister, promising the Labour voting persons Heaven, Prosperity, great status in the World for Great Britain. He resigned in June 2007, knowing full well that the Country was in huge debt caused by Labours maniac spending without any means to repay, leaving Brown holding the baby.
Mr Brown, after his constant feuding with Blair, already proved to be an inept Chancellor, made an more inept Prime Minister.....and then, in a few short months, along came the Global Recession, and the next Labour Chancellor leaving that infamous note telling the following Conservative Chancellor that there was no money left. So Mr Blair slithered away trying to duck and distance himself from the consequences of Labours draining of the Treasury and the monsterous debt of their borrowing, leaving Mr Brown to take the blame of which, as Chancellor, he was a co-offender.
So, Blair turned to touring the World, charging exorbitant sums for his Lectures and finding Religion at the same time. The fact that, in essence, he was a failure and left his country in a debt that took nearly 10 years to repay seems to be lost on those who admire him and will pay to hear him pontificate his wisdom. A Labour man who has successfully turned Capitalist and became a multi-millionaire without anyone noticing.
That Blair/Brown debacle and now the appearance of extremism Momentum and Corbyn is why as a past Labour voter I will never vote Labour again.
Excuse me, while I reach for the bucket as Blair in on the TV again.

I agree with everything you say @ARMANDII ( except for being a Labour voter ...... never have, never will).

During the mid 90's we had a brand new hospital built next to our old one and linked by overhead bridges etc , well befitting an area with a population capture of approximate 150,000.
Blair came to power and put the opening on hold and then 6 months later it was boarded up and a new one opened which costs £70 in taxi fares to get to and back. Most of it is still empty now including the old A&E ( something else we lost ).

How dare Labour say the NHS is worse under the Conservatives.

Speaking of which, there has been an occasional lapse in not using Swear words in this somewhat controversial thread, which breach the GC Rules and Protocols. So the Admin Team respectfully asks that, even though feelings run high, and our liking of Politicians runs low, we think before we post and don't use swear words in order not to cause offence.:love30::thumbsup::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:
