I did! He absolutely dismantled her, and rightly so - tore her apart on the Scottish NHS, education, drugs problem.....

Fair to say he did not miss her and hit the wall.

I have some background to my loathing of the SNP. Going back 45 years I helped a good friend with his council elections for a few years until he got elected as a councillor, I used to party with him , go camping, go drinking and we both worked at the same company at the time.
He did well and his majority went from around 600 to over 14000 over the next few elections....he was a good councillor.
Then he married my sister (The bitch) and then got elected as an MSP a few years back.
Up until that point I had supported the SNP and even voted for independence. Since then he has become an arrogant self centered a..hole who has no real power in the Scottish parliament, I have seen real change in him for the worse, so that plus Nicholas illusions has turned me completely against the SNP.
Having known him for so long and being part of the family there is many a story I could tell that would discredit him politically and I have come close to it a few times, I also have some silly pictures of him from way back (nothing saucy) that he wouldn't like to be put out there. I honestly hope he gets voted out and the SNP do not have a majority after the 12th Dec.

Ouch, I've just watched the interview on the BBC IPlayer and I think her face said it all. It's a good thing she doesn't carry a Dirk somewhere on her person as she looked tempted to finish the interview more quickly than Andrew Neil wanted to.
His attack on her about the NHS was brutal and the observation that "she wanted to protect the NHS from Donald Trump, but does the NHS need protecting from Nicola Sturgeon?" really struck home. When she quoted figures from a Government Business Model, Andrew Neil questioned the figures and asked to see the Business Model which evidently didn't exist.
While her temper and stress was more than evident in the changing expressions on her face. It's a good job job they weren't in a Pub as there would have been a Bar Fight.:heehee:

I think her response was one of a person about to lose their temper but trying to keep it under control and failing. She just had no real defence of the poor performance of the SNP which she obviously tried to hide. The tightening of the mouth, the look in her eyes, and the spoilt child expression on her face has, I think, lost her quite a few votes.:coffee:

I've stopped watching any election material as they seem to be vying for the record of how many unsustainable lies they can make.

Anyway, I think I'm having trouble with electile dysfunction! So I'm hoping my action will cure it :heehee:

I'm watching through gritted teeth. Every fibre in my body is cringing at this "leader"... Andrew isn't even slightly taxing himself in pointing out basic flaws and it only takes a minute or two before she mentions she doubts if Labour will even win which almost makes the interview pointless. If they don't get in then the SNP can't 'hold the balance of power' (oh she's deluded this one) so why even bother. Another party that doubt they're own ability despite all the verbal diarrhoea. Also clear she is an argumentative bint that has zero charm or ability to build either rapport or empathy with the interviewer.
Sturgeon also appears to have a misunderstanding as to the power hierarchy between Westminster and Holyrood. Be interesting if she can ever come up with evidence of a material change required to allow (by Westminster permission, not anywhere else) a second indyref and the rest of her waffle is all her own mania. Don;t think the SNP will have her as leader for much longer.

All that said - I don't think ANY other politician will fair any better with Andrew Neil!!

To be fair he does ask questions and then not allow them to answer.
Bit like all the BBC interviewers.

Hmm, not sure I agree with that Pete; he absolutely interrupted many responses but he also allowed ample time to give a straight answer which no seasoned politician seems able to do. He also went to some effort to reiterate the question giving lots of opportunity for a good answer. Politicians always want to 'flip the question' or stretch out setting up their own version of events before giving an evasive response. Certainly not confined to the first minister, of course; I fully expect them all to try it on.

Good morning well we will see how Jeremy Corbyn copes tonight at 7pm:smile:

Well Andrew Neil was born in Paisley and educated at the University of Glasgow and was a close friend of Rupert Murdoch and you could see why he dealt with Nicola sturgeon in the way he did. lets see if he is the same tonight.

I agree with Loofah, pete, (because of his brown envelope in the post:thumbsup:). Andrew Neil can be, and was, Brutal in his direct questioning and selection of what he asks Politicians.
Sturgeon's problem was that she was quoting figures, or in some cases misquoting, from her own Governments report, which to Andrew Neil were highly suspect and that highly respected, independent. fiscal bodies were saying were grossly incorrect.
She wanted to use the Sterling as Scottish currency until Scotland created it's own but Andrew Neil pointed out that with a 7.5% GDP deficit she had no chance. That was an interesting point that Andrew Neil didn't really pick up upon as she was really saying that she wanted to join the EU with an independent Scottish currency implying that she didn't want to join the Euro and lose Scottish financial currency independence as have the other 27 members. When Andrew Neil pointed out that she couldn't create her own currency even if the GDP decifit dropped to 3% she tried to revert to saying she would continue to use the Sterling when joining the EU, to which Andrews pointed out that it was highly likely that the EU would not accept that.
She also said Scotland would be able to join the EU quickly, but a EU body was saying it could take from 5 to 10 years to do so, and now the IMF is saying it would take 100 Billion Pounds Sterling assets reserve to create a Scottish currency...which Scotland doesn't have and is unlikely to achieve.
Her problem was that she was expecting to quote her own figures without interruption and examination but Andrew Neil wouldn't let her get away with that and interrupted breaking her ability to look look like a Leader of a Political Party in Government who could defend their policies and financial figures. She didn't appear, underneath, to be a strong enough character to withstand a direct, hard, grilling, such as Andrew Neil is infamous for, and was unprepared and unable to argue the validity of her figures because of the very fact that they were questionable. And, of course, as we all saw, her face full of anger, tight lipped trying to control her temper, and shock at realising that all the failures of the SNP as a Government in all the vital services were being brutally exposed, showed in her eyes.:hate-shocked::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee::dunno:
