Thank you @Upsydaisy. They are the same as here except most of the time they are made without tthe top crust. I usually add a piece of pastry the shape of a holly leaf or little Christmas tree. I'll start baking my Christmas stuff soon. Got all those trays to make up!

No it's just the 2 of us. Hubby eats most of them, 2 a day, except weekends. They keep well in a airtight container.

You can put meringue topping on but would have to eat them straight away, or macaroon tops.

I've got a recipe book that's just for Christmas foods to prepare and put in freezer.
It's called Home &Freezer Christmas from the Freezer. One of the Christmas pudding ones i use.
I got it in 1985 and it costs £1.30

Filo pastry makes a good topping too, and looks pretty dusted with icing sugar.:blue thumb:

I've got a similar book too that I inherited from my Mum's collection.

I'm starting to sew a pair of bell bottoms. Got the fabric all cut and ready to go to the machines. Serge first, sew last. Lots of top stitching on these too so I will need to take my time.

And I've got a pair of shoes with 2" heels so I don't look quite as much like I'm standing in a hole when I've got them on! :heehee:

Oh I really like them Lori.
Use to make all my own clothes, my Mum was a brilliant needle woman and my sister's and I learnt a lot from her. Having had only sons there was only so much I could make for them !! However I did knit Thomas The Tank Engine, Batman, Superman.....and many more jumpers.:heehee:

I knitted my son one of them, used to get the patterns out of the woman's weekly magazine.

Packaged all of the items for clients to pick up.

Then cutting out circles of fabric to make Christmas ornaments with the granddaughters this weekend. Got cinnamon sticks to tie to the ornaments to make them smell pretty too.

Getting the fabric ready for them to make Infinity scarfs with hidden pockets for hiding valuables, i.d. etc. The scarves will be for the granddaughters to make as presents for their Mums. Hmm, better go through my zipper stash. If I don't have the right size, I can always make some zips.

Then off to take a friend to the hospital for a follow up appointment with the orthopedic surgeon. Which means more magazine reading :) whilst waiting for a few hours :(...

                              Busy day then Lori.

I'm just looking through and selecting some Christmas nibbles to bake and freeze.

                              Have you got snow?

Not a lot of snow @Upsydaisy . Only a few inches left on the ground and a very light snowfall happening now. I'm pretty sure we'll have a white Christmas.

Later if I'm back early enough, I'm going to take apart my current dining room table. The veneer got badly water damaged (my fault - not a manufacturer's issue) and it would cost more to repair it than replace it. It is 30 years old so it served me well. Of course I will need to assemble the new one once it is here so having the room already empty will give me room to work. :)
