I dread to think what's behind our cooker :yikes: It's too heavy to move!

It arrived at 11.45. They disconnected the old one and put in the new one.

20191216_122900.jpg Got to leave the ovens on for half an hour to burn off the oils that is used in the manufacturing process. The lights stays on all the time when in use. The top oven has a fan as well and it's a grill as well. Got self cleaning liners in both.
Looked at the manual and i think that I'll manage alright. I can put the shelves in the top oven, the old one i couldn't.

@Logan - WOW! That is a beauty :dbgrtmb: The ceramic top is easy to clean. Mine has some scratching but that is after 25 years of hard work. And when I have parties where I've done all of the prep in advance and don't need the top, and also one of those get togethers where people typically land up in the kitchen, I put a piece of quilted fabric (I made mine and embroidered mushrooms on it for fun) on the surface and remove the control knobs for the surface elements. It adds more "counter space" for glasses or buffet items or whatever and there is no fear of someone accidently starting heat under it.

The only caution I have with the ceramic top is do not allow super heated candy boil over (stupid me did that once) as it may scar the white markings and make sure you don't use a pot that is more than 1 inch larger in circumference than the markings indicate.

Happy cooking and baking ! ;)

Thanks @CanadianLori for the advice, yes have to be careful with the glass top. When the pressure cooker is not in use, i usually keep it on the cooker with some of the casserole dishes, but it looks so nice that I've found space in the cupboards. They're easier to get at on the top but that's just me being lazy.

Glad that we got them to fit it and take the old one away, it's so much simpler. It did cost a £100.0 but it's worth it.

@Logan, nosy me wants to know what is your flooring. It looks really unique :)

Yes, having the old units hauled away makes good sense. I have a large van and I still would not be bothered!

It's some carpet, had to put that down many years ago when one of our dogs decided to tear the lino up when i was walking one of the others. Really need a new kitchen but i know that won't happen for a very long time.

I've often thought about getting one of those rubber floor mats you see cashiers standing on. I think they are called something like anti stress mats? One of those might work too and easily cleaned. For now, I'm using pound store crocs to cushion my soles during all the standing whilst baking because I have ceramic tile not something soft like carpeting but I do recall seeing a mat that was meant for use in the kitchen. Maybe next year... :)

I'm jealous. That range is awesome!

@shiney , would love that stove, but my kitchen is not that big to hold a wonderment like that .

We have ceramic tiling, with underfloor heating :blue thumb:, and we always walk around the house in bare feet. In the kitchen I have a rubber backed mat by the sink and a section of carpet where I stand for most of the prepping of the food. The carpet is just an off-cut bought from a carpet shop. The mat sized pieces of off-cut only cost £1 each. Even the cat from down the road that regularly sleeps in the greenhouse has a piece of off-cut on a shelf. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Get yourself an over thermometer to check the temp settings but you'll soon adapt! Maybe a practice turkey before the big day though...?

I move mine out about 4 X a year, and it has dirt yuck there, yep. My old Aunt used to say, to touch the whole house once a year.
