Looks good @Logan. None of us are keen on Christmas cake, but they certainly make a good centre piece on the table.

Had an early start ,friends came over at 9am this morning kindly bringing us lots of yummy Christmas goodies!! After they left we collected my older sister and hit town to buy the fresh food items, surprisingly it was a pleasant experience for a change with no queues in the car park or at any of the tills.:dbgrtmb:

Now getting things prepped for a little baking session.

          Have a great afternoon !:xmasyay:

We had our firm's christmas lunch today, all 9 of us, two of those retired employees.
Had to take a detour to get there, a country pub, due to the floods.

We had a good time as usual, and now finished work until 6th Jan.:yay:

Yesterday I drove to St. Anne's Church at Baslow in Derbyshire to lay wreaths on the river bank where my Dad and Brother lie. After that it was a cup of Coffee at "Charlies" Restaurant which is just opposite the Church. My family has been visiting that Restaurant, in it's different forms, for 70 years!!, and while the ownership may change, the building looks the same as when my Mum and Dad used to take me there as a kid. Today, I drove around Crewe to four different points to drop off wreathes for my wife's relatives as she used to do to "keep the faith" for her. Then it was back to the Church where my wife is so that I could lay flowers, a Bouquet, a wreath, and generally make the place look tidy. In the end, due to previous flowers laid, it was covered in flowers and wreathes from end to end. After that I went home for a mug of Tea and a browse through Life's memories.

I drove somebody to their physio session at the hospital and rather than wait outside for an hour, I quickly did my vegetable shopping and got a few more packages of candies for Christmas day guests.

Then the Bell Canada guy came to install fiber tv - oh my goodness - what a rigmarole. He had to find a second line so that he could have a line on it's own for the modem and most of my lines are connected and we didn't know which was which. So after moving furniture out of the way to get access to the 4 phone jacks upstairs, including disconnecting fax and other lines, and then the three on the main floor, and the two in the cellar he figured he would instead need to drill a hole through my dining room floor to feed another line :yikes:

So after much discussion in order for me to figure out exactly what he needed, which was just a new line from the main box in the cellar to somewhere on the main floor, I told him to get me 40 feet of his cable which he did. Then I fed the line down through a hole I already had in place for feeding CCTV lines up from the cellar into the entertainment area on the main floor and wove it through the rafters and then pulled it through to the box. Done. By the time he got the connectors on the new line, I had everything back in place and the modems and pvr's hooked up to power. What I go through to get a clear picture for my beloved Corrie :rolleyespink:
