YAWN YAWN WAKEY WAKEY PART 2....... 2019

Good morning all, Happy Boxing Day and sounds like you all had a nice day yesterday, we did too, we didn’t want to go home , we are just chilling right now, if the weather dries up we may have a walk.

 

Good morning everyone, all over for another year. Just New Year and we can look forward to Spring, roll on. What a lot of work for just one or two days! Hope you all had a good time.

Morning all, yes that's it..done and dusted for another year!!
Baby son is leaving soon to go back up to London to finish his packing for his 7wk holiday adventure, flies off on Monday.....I am excited for him but equally I'll be relieved when he returns safe and sound. As with all parents we will be biting our nails until then.

Not sure yet about older son, he might go back with his brother (they only live a 10 minute walk from each other) or head back later today or tomorrow.

I always get sad for a day or two when they all leave.
Hopefully middle son and girlfriend will be down for New Year, nothing is actually confirmed yet.
I do have a fairly big family get together to prepare for, that will take my mind off from things!!

Where did Christmas go? It seemed to fly by in a flash! We’ve had a lovely time.
I’ve caught up with some much needed sleep. I’m going to dip my toe into work today! I haven’t got much to do, but I’m starting to miss my busy schedule & my routine, it will be nice to get going again....remind me of what I’ve said here in a few months when I tell you I’m tired!
we are off to see our close friends, our godson & his brother tonight I’m looking forward to that, we don’t have much time together these days, we are all always so busy us with work & then with work & of course all the kids clubs etc. I feel guilty that we don’t see them much sometimes but it can’t be helped unfortunately.
Kev has already gone off to work, he’s had a good rest so I hope he’s recharged the batteries he’s got an extra busy couple of months ahead of him, we have a friend who’s self employed who’s not over busy this time of year so he’s going to lend a hand which is great.

Hi @Beckie76, glad to hear that you've had a great Christmas. Your post takes me back to the days when our boys were young and trying to juggle work ( mine was 50hrs per week)+ all the additional paper work as I was self employed and all the kids extra curriculum activities!!
But...let me tell you years on and life is still manic!!!

Eldest son left a few minutes ago....double boo hoos today.

We have a couple of days normality before ( hopefully) middle son and girlfriend join us for New Year and I have our New Year family buffet to arrange too.

The house is sooooo quiet without our babies!! Loud music day!!

Yes true, but we only really get to see them 2 maybe 3 times a year. By the time they finish work on a Friday they either have to travel down on the overloaded trains and arrived frazzled late evening or come down Saturday morning and obviously leave Sunday afternoon to get ready for work on Monday!

We will probably go up about March for a weekend, again that always proves hectic as we like to try and fit in a visit to all 3 of them as we would hate any of them to feel left out!!

Never mind if was fab seeing them...even for only a few days.

We are going for dinner out then doing grocery shopping, then the washing needs to be done.

I’ve got a day off on the 10th jan (time owing) so booking my bloods in for that day.

Well I’m back feeling like a big pudding after that carvery and my hubby forced me to have chocolate fudge cake ......
