Still here!! Managed to persuade hubs to do the shopping on Thursday when he drops me off in town to meet to a friend ( sneaky bit of work there...I'm off the the cinema and he can browse the aisles all he wants.)

Our youngest has been sending us some of his pics.....wasn't too impressed with the pigs intestines he had for his meal last Sunday though.

He flew to Hanoi on Tuesday.

I've just finished reading most of the morning papers and will go down to the kitchen soon to start my boiled eggs and toast.

I did empty the upright/stand alone freezer in the cellar and turned it off/left door open to defrost it. I will be taking someone to their physio today and I figure by the time I get back, I'll just need to do some sponging up of water and then repack and plug back in. It is the only freezer that is not self defrosting and luckily I only have to do it about once a year as I don't stand there peering in at the contents for minutes at a time.

I added water to the trays of soil blocks down in the cellar and there are already a few seedlings enjoying the LED lights. Of course it's not the peppers yet but a couple of basil and coleus already! I brought in a couple of bags of potting soil yesterday so as soon as they get a bit bigger, I'll be ready to pot up

The skies are grey, it's 29f and we will be dipping lower the next few days. Looking at the guesser's calendar, it seems that the deep freeze will be coming in about 2 weeks and stick for a month or two. Guess I'd better switch to my winter coat soon.

Good day
The skies are clear and ultra blue. We've been told that this won't last, the clouds will move in, bringing snow with them in about an hour but for now it looks nice and it is 23f.

I've got a day of cutting fabric and serging pieces for the seats (7) of an outdoor settee.

And later I will be picking up some fabric for some toss cushions that a client wants done. The fabrics for the tossers are about 80 of your pounds sterling per yard so I will be measuring 5 times before cutting!

Guess I'll toddle downstairs and have some breakfast - I got a carton of double yolk eggs the other day so it will be fun

Good Morning everyone, nice sunny start here but it's not forecast to last.

Went to visit my Dad yesterday ,just for a natter as my back was very iffy. He still has his resident Duck waddling around in his shadow...I also noticed that my Dad now has a huge sack of Duck food stashed away in a corner......that Duck knows when he's on to a good thing!!,

Off to meet up with a friend this morning then we are going to see Little Women at the cinema.
