:yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes: Ouch! I feel particularly lucky after reading that!

It is sunny skies and up to 5f. I'll be hanging around inside because I've got lots of little projects need completing. I will slip out to the shop to do some gambling (buy a Lottery) as I like the great day dreams of how I can help family and friends if I win "the big one". Oh, and I need to go to the book store to pick up a book I ordered for a granddaughter's birthday. She wanted a book and her usual cash and her cousin (2 weeks older) asked for a Kobo instead of money. And that will take care of their birthdays :)

My oldest granddaughter will be down at the end of the month for a break from the extreme cold - it is -26c or -15f where she lives so our 6f will be toasty to her.

I am delighted that now the sun is higher in the sky and clearing my neighbour's house peak for longer, my solar panels are giving the batteries lot's more energy. Which reminds me to go out and boost my mustang battery - still feel silly for forgetting to start it up now and again to keep it charged!

I hope everyone has a great day and plays safe!
    Cheers
    Lori

I've been out, wrapped up warmly, in the bright sunshine in a nice mild 42F and clearing moss from amongst the Hellebores and snowdrops that are doing their best to put on a show - just a little bit.

Knee didn't hurt at all whilst bending over working but it's throbbing like mad now. I'll get Mrs Shiney to work on it when she has finished with the three year old patient she is working on. :)

What a beautiful frosty morning it is too !

          Hi there @Flumpy!
          A bit nippy for a haircut!:yikes:

No real plans yet, probably spend the day in the garden as it going got be gorgeously sunny all day today......supposedly!

Woke up to a horrendously sore throat, can't even swallow down my morning cuppa! Had it since Wednesday, no other symptoms at all, so I don't think it's a cold.....most annoying!!

          Have a great day everyone!:glad:

                      Good day
I haven't been to the hair dressers in years. As soon as my hair gets long enough that I can't reach the tips, I grab a pair of scissors and hack off 4-5 inches.

I just got off the phone with one seed company. I had gone into my account and discovered that the seeds I had thought ordered in their last sale were still sitting in my cart because one item was sold out. So I spent time on the phone getting the order placed, and at sale prices (even though the sale ended) and now it will be expedited.

It is snowing. Big flakes of snow and we are sitting at -4c or 25f. Even though I am a capable stevedore outside as well as at the dinner table and am physically strong enough to lift a load I will shovel a few times throughout the day to avoid having to lift too much at one go! We are promised 8" of snow. It was -40 last night up at my granddaughter's and they've already go nearly 3 feet of snow, so I'm certainly spoiled with this little bit. "snow dig"

Today and tomorrow is a low time of use electricity rate day so I am doing laundry, cleaning etc and just generally trying to fit at least 80% of my electricity into the weekend. As usual..

I'll finally get up the courage to prewash a large piece of corduroy that I had bought to make trousers. I sure hope it comes out okay :fingers crossed:

Take care and play safe everyone. :)

                        Hi Lori,

it sounds very very cold where you are, do you have ski’s to get around?
You keep wrapped up warm now and try not to do too much shuveling

Where my cousin lives at this moment it's -30 but feels like -37 :yikes: , I just couldn't cope. She emigrated to Canada over 50 years ago, can't work out why she chose such a cold part to live!! They all have snow boots and also attachments for their shoes/ boots to aid moving around.

                          Not for me definitely!

Not too bad , but haven't done what I had planned to do. I have been drinking lots to ease my throat......but that just means endless trips to the loo!!!:roflol:,

I don't know how they cope either in such cold climes!!! My cousin went out when she was 19 ,met her husband and never returned!!! Well, she comes back on visits occasionally, she loves it out there.
