    Good day
I've been AWOL here having been spending a great deal of time bidding at auctions. I won on three lots and feel the price was a good deal. Makes me wonder about some. A few of the items were getting up near retail value and it was last year's model not current store ones.

I finished my indoor set up for the rest of my germinated seeds first thing this morning. The plastic under the felt somehow got a hole and the water was busy wicking up from the container, into the felt and then back out on the floor! Everything out, new plastic down, everything back in. Still got lots and lots of seeds to start but I know it would be silly to do so before the end of the month.

It is quite cool out there -21c - my nostrils stuck together when I went out this morning- in my jammies to put the recycle bins at the kerb.
I am now sat having my first cuppa and about to start reading the news.

Another busy day ahead of me as I am meeting a client at the to-the-trade-only decorating center. They don't let any of my clients from the general public in to view anything without me being present and it'll be fun anyway. She's a nice lady :)

I hope everyone is having as nice a day as I plan to have.

    Cheers
    Lori

@Upsydaisy other quotes are in now. I'm accepting one for £612 including VAT. :blue thumb:

I'm going to ask him to quote for reducing two poplar trees by 20ft each and to pollarding at least that amount off the big willow and trimming back all round.

                  Aloha everyone,

I've done a little bit of work outside this morning and it is getting windier. :hate-shocked:

We have a Valentine's dinner and dance to go to tonight. I'll take my ear plugs.

Keep well and have a great day

                  Aloha!

                        Good morning @moyra .
Yes it's definitely not nice out there at all.
My thoughts are with those whose homes have been flooded.....nothing could be worse.
We have flooded areas outside...not nice but manageable, but having it seeping into your home must be devastating .

                            Aloha everyone,

@wiseowl sorry to hear about more fence panels going. Are they recoverable?

Fifteen minutes ago it started pouring and howling a gale and now it's has stopped both. :rolleyespink: It has been alternating throughout the night.

I may take a wander around the garden to see what has happened. I'll need to check on the other poplars.

Keep well and take care

That wind and rain Shiney waited to let loose for when I took Amber out we nearly got blown away and also very wet. Still Amber loves her rub down with a nice fluffy towel I keep specially for her. When it's like this makes you wonder if we shall ever get some sunshine and dry days again. Come the summer I expect we shall be shouting out for it. Lol. Oh well such is life.
WOO hope the panels that have come down are recoverable and you wont have to buy more. Take care of yourself walking Penny in this weather. God Bless. :)
