Sadly nothing, just looking at everything getting battered. The wind noise is tremendously loud.......I blame it on Woo and his beans!!!;):dbgrtmb:

Nothing today because of the weather.
The snapdragon seeds have come up but the eurigeron didn't make it. I forgot about them I think that they dried out, but got the old plants in my little grow house at the back.

The old chilli plants that are in the conservatory are getting greenfly. Might have to get rid of the plants, it might spread to my seedlings. :yikes:

Same as others today, wind and rain, so no garden, been looking for container gardening books online in a few second hand book shops, some fantastic prices but so many books, which to choose:dunno:

I filled more little pots to have ready for when the soil blocks need potting up. Then I covered the living room rug with heavy plastic. I had filled all of the hanging pots with new soil, placed the metal mesh on them and hung them back in the greenhouses last fall. So I brought all of them in to sit on the plastic and thaw. Then I let myself thaw out.

I will start my 4 o'clocks in the next few days because I remember them being slow growers. The rest, I won't sow until early next month. I started them at this time last year and it was far too early. They seemed to be finished too early in the summer for my liking.

I have around 30 to 50 Nectaroscordum Alliums shooting up in 8 cell trays in the warm room and they need potting onto larger pots but the weather is just too bad at the moment. There's two large buckets of a compost mixture of compost, sand and potting grit waiting in the Green House for the job when the weather turns slightly better.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

:rain::rain: all day with strong winds and decidedly chilly. A day of making coasters and a cheeseboard. The Wrens were in bed by 5.30 this evening. I think they were fed up with the weather too.

Logan & Upsydaisy. So sorry ladies to hear of your back problems, I know what it's like. I have gross degenerative disease of the spine. Heat pads are good for easing the pain, also some of these stick on medicated patches. Hope you soon feel better.xx

It's a standard problem with chillies but it's usually whitefly that's the most prevalent.

They can spread like mad in the garden so you will need to keep an eye on them. I've already spotted many thousands of them coming up in the garden although I always dig out loads for Open Day. The area under the willow where I thought I had dug all of them out, each year for the last three years, is full of them  Funnily enough, a lot of snowdrops have suddenly appeared amongst them. I think they invited the snowdrops in to encourage me to keep from digging there. :rolleyespink:

Not a lot, unless I have to go out and pick up a neighbours fence or a branch falls on the house.

Rain has stopped and wind has abated slightly but parts of the garden are still very muddy. Sat in conservatory with coffee watching a baby Rat scoffing sunflower seed and trying to convince myself that I do wish to go outside and garden for awhile :heehee:. Run out of storage space for coasters so I've no excuse really, although I do need to make some more cheeseboards/ wine trays at some point today.
