I wouldn't bother Armandii, you've still got to put your food in the trolley that someone previously has stood their child in. You're probably immune to everything that's been near or in it.

We have had only one person with the Corona Virus in the South of Ireland,..plus one in the North of Ireland,..both had recently visited Italy,..touch wood it remains a low level though that is wishful thinking.

In the past years when any strain of Flu broke out my Doctor would jokingly remind me not to heed the notifications that the Flu Vaccine was available as she thought the vaccine would not be advisable for me,..i never get Flu or Colds and i am informed that i am not alone,..so were i given a vaccine it could upset and alter whatever there is in my system keeping Flu and colds at bay,..i agree with that,..it will be interesting to see will i be affected by the Corona Virus,..not that i wish to be confronted by it,..just curious,..though curiosity killed the cat,..are there any members in the same position as myself? and in 70's age group?

Yes, young man :old: :heehee:. Mrs Shiney and myself never have the flu vaccine and have never had the flu :fingers crossed:. Most of our friends do have the vaccine and almost all of them seem to get a dose of the flu (not too serious) but I don't know if there's any correlation. :noidea:

If I had a decent wee chunk of money I could spare, I would be tempted to buy right now - I reckon it will bounce back up by summer, and there could be money to be made. Not that I have ever bought a share in my life, so wouldn't have a clue what to do in reality.

I've got a really good deal I could do for you. I just need your bank and credit card details  :heehee:

You should have bought some shares in a hand sanitiser manufacturer.

Neither do I and I agree to keep my system doing its own thing.

My Sister got the shot every year ... and the flu/cold to go with it and I also know others in the same situation!

In the late 80s I went to Guinea, West Africa, on business and had to go have a barrage of medications and injections. I had to have the Typhoid shot at Halton AF Base as it was live. I barely got home as I collapsed ... the doctor said this was not unusual and I would get over it in a day or two! :hate-shocked: I got back from my trip and had contracted River Blindness! :yikes: Put me off going to such places again. :thud:

PS My antibacterial handwash is alcohol free.

The joys of travel... We had a little green card in the Navy where you recorded all the jabs and whatnots for various travel. I got right in the mire when I lost it :heehee:

They can't define how 'bad' the virus is or provide a comparison to, say, flu as people tend to not bother notifying anyone of having flu, they just go to bed. I think based on current figure from China, however reliable they are, it's about 9 deaths per 1000. That's just from something I read on the BBC site some days ago and was keen to emphasise the unreliable nature of the figures.

Yep, that's me.:old::dunno: The Surgery rings every year to see if I want the Flu jab and I always refuse on the grounds that it only cover a few of the numerous Flu virus and I'm bound to catch one of those that it doesn't cover. I haven't ever had the Flu but I put that down that when in the RAF we managed to get every disease possible when abroad:heehee:. but also down to the fact that as a Kid we played in the muck and everything and caught the usual things in those days which gave us a barrier of immunity after catching things not heard of these days!!.
