            Good day
It is brilliant sunshine at the moment and almost up to freezing. I've got company coming for the day and must get on with a little seed sowing to have done before they get here.

I hope everyone has a pleasant afternoon and evening and play safe please! :)

I'll get some gardening done this morning and then I've organised a CPR/Defib course for late morning and through lunchtime. :phew:

Keep well and have a great day

                    Good day
Sounds interesting @shiney. I have taken the St. John's ambulance course but at that time the defib machines weren't commonly available as they are now. Would be a valuable lesson. :)

It is sunny and I'm looking forward to getting chores inside done while
Midsomer Murders episodes are playing and then
running outside to do various things during the commercial. The breaks are sometimes 6 minutes long so a lot can be done in that length of time. It's too cold to spend more than that amount of time outside in one session anyway so several bites at jobs will have to do.

Cheers and play safe! :blue thumb:

Afternoon everyone , awfully wet day down here!!

Internet and phone line have just come back on, they went down yesterday evening.

I think everyone should have first aid training, some schools do it now as part of their curriculum.:dbgrtmb:
I have always kept my certificate valid as I think it's a vital asset to have for all the family and indeed for any unfortunate person that may require help when out and about.:dbgrtmb:

I keep a mouth to mouth 'mask' , gloves, a special pair of scissors that paramedics use that will cut through everything...leather, seatbelts tough wet weather gear that motorcyclists wear etc. I'm prepared!!:)

It was very interesting. They said that the survival rate for atrial fibrillation from using CPR was about 10% but combined with Defib it rises to about 70%. :dbgrtmb:

Our kit that comes with the defib contains all that and that the scissors are especially useful for cutting through a bra! :rolleyespink: You cut through the centre front of it to save many seconds. There was no demonstration of that part.

What @shiney , you didn't want to don the bra for the sake of helping train others? :heehee:

I've only ever had to use my first aid training twice. Once, the child version of Heimlich as my grandson was choking on a piece of tootsie roll and then another time at the side of the road. A fellow must have had an epileptic episode and I helped keep him from choking, got him on his side and kept him calm until an ambulance arrived. He probably would have been okay without me anyway but I'll always jump in if I see someone down and seeming to be in distress.

Now, don't get any ideas. Even though it is cold here, I do not run about with a keg of brandy strapped round my neck!

Morning @shiney and to everyone else who drops by.:),

Gorgeous day by the look of things. Already been out and swept all 3 patios as there was a lot of chunks of moss etc. on them that had been brought down from either the birds or all the recent heavy rains.
Now just off out to my Dad's for the day, after doing all the household tasks and laundry hopefully I'll get to spend the afternoon in his garden .

                                Have a super day everyone!:spinning:
