If I caught the virus and got over it, would I then be immune?

Thankyou, but I just had that question answered on the TV, apparently you would be immune for a while, but as its a new virus they are not sure how long the immunity would last.

I'm assuming, wrongly or rightly that they are worried about future mutations of the virus, in much the same way flu changes every year, pretty much, and a new vaccine has to be sorted out in advance.
It was so much simpler when we just accepted that we might catch these kinds of thing each winter and there was no conception that you had to be vaccinated to avoid them.

I do feel sorry for people who it might be life threatening to, but for the rest of us I think its better we just get on with it and stop fannying around.

Just saw an interview with a British guy, aged in his 30's, trapped in Wuhan in China. He'd caught Covid 19 and described what happened..........stage 1 felt like a bad cold, then you feel better, Stage 2 feels like Flu, then you get better, Stage 3 is Pneumonia......which he got and had to go into Hospital

My son works for a firm in America that buys and sells sanitising products for the catering industry. He says that the demand is so great manufacturers stocks are almost gone and they can't produce more fast enough.

Trump's latest advice on Covid 19, and it's not fake news, is to carry on and go to work even if you have the symptoms. The man is just brain dead.:wallbanging:

My son's firm has said their staff will be told to go home sick if they show any signs of the virus. They don't get paid if they don't work and any time taken sick has points scored against them, too many points and they're sacked.
