You couldn't get that many bog rolls in that van to be over weight, unless they were made of gold

Well, no matter. I'm off to take a friend for his ultrasound at the hospital. COVID19 will have to get bigger shoulders if it wants to take me on!

I think a lot of heavier stuff was hidden by the rolls. :ideaIPB: It looks as though there may be some bottles of water beneath the rolls at the back and we don't know what's inside. :rolleyespink:

Apparently he was fined £300 for the overweight load. :noidea:

I used to haul the big rolls of bog rolls from the docks to a loo roll maker, the one's I hauled were 4feet x 5 feet a tad to big for a loo roll holder
When we haul the big rolls in the big trailors we had no problem with being over weight but we did have big problems with wind as the trailors were 45 feet long x 16feet 1 inch high, the biggest aloud on the roads at the time so good on windy days

They said something like, 800 known cases in the UK, but the real figure could be 10,000, not sure those figures are correct.

But if they are it kind of says something about this virus?
9,200 people just dont even know they have got it, just feeling a bit off colour maybe, or just got a bug.

Toilet rolls and soap have vanished here since last week but there's no virus in Inverness yet?

I had my Tesco groceries delivered tonight, and unsurprisingly many items were not available. I was prepared to that.

The cheaper kinds of pasta were not available at the time I ordered on Tuesday, so I was very happily forced to buy a bag of the posh kind. Unfortunately by the time they picked my order that was gone as well.

The other item missing was, most devastatingly, a tub of Tescos Finest coffee flavoured ice cream! Who could have known that coffee flavour ice cream is on the panic buy list?

                              :wallbanging:

On another note, The Teenager's Uni is closing from Monday and in my office people at higher risk group (reduced immunity, health conditions, pregnant or fathers to be, carers of elderly) are advised (but not told) to work from home. This is very sensible I think, most Uni work can be done online and in my office 80% of people can work from home and regularly do so.

It's a weird situation but a good test to societies to see what actually happens when a pandemic hits. So far it looks like we are doing just fine with China already reporting very reassuring numbers and scientists predicting that the outbreak will lessen with the warming weather. Not a Black Death this one, but a major disruption and a wake up call.

Not a problem there Jiffy, only when the boats can't sail. If push comes to shove the island can be shut down as it was in 2001 during foot and mouth disease.
