:ideaIPB: I've had an idea! :ideaIPB:
We are clearly living in very strange times, where some folks are stockpiling things that they don't even need for whatever impending doom that they fear is about to become us. At some stage, they will decide that "I'm alright Jack" and won't need to buy anything else, and surely stocks will recover, but in the meantime I thought we could perhaps use our GC community spirit to help each other out.

For example, I know that @JWK and @Loofah are some that are not all that far from me (I am near Staines, for those that don't know), with @shiney within a couple of hours driving, and fairly sure I could get to @wiseowl in not much more than a couple of hours.

There may be things that some of us are in need of, but cannot get in our area or online - whilst others may see it available in their area, and could potentially obtain it and pass it on. Indeed, this could be expanded if we wanted, and we could send things through the post or by carrier, but ultimately we have a potential little network around the country where we could pass something needed on and help each other out.

So, I suggest we post here if there is something we are looking for, including where you are in the country (rough location only please, no addresses given out in the public forum) and then others can see if they can help.

If you are able to help someone, then please ensure that all personal information is passed via PM or email etc, and make your own arrangements for paying for goods/postage as a private matter between you both.

What do you think folks, are you up for it?

I'll help out if I can - South Yorkshire area. Seems that the only shortages here (currently) are toilet roll and pasta.

I did go to the local supermarket for the weekly shop and it felt very strange. The lights were dimmer, no music and everyone seemed subdued.

A blank cheque is no good, loli:dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:, it will need your signature on it first and then Shiney and me will look after it for you:thumbsup:

Cheques? :yikes: Honestly, you are in the last millennium. PayPal is the thing nowadays. It's so easy:

                        1) go to PayPal and set up an account
                        2) test the connection by making a payment of £10 to [email protected] Paypal account
                        3) enjoy the freedom of moving your money around in seconds. Whoop whoop!:hapfeet:

                        4) Recommend all your friends to follow the steps above.

We have spare horse poo if anyone wants to collect. It gets delivered in bags for us as a thank you from a local charity :heehee:. I dig it in to the compost heaps.
