Well got an email back from the charity concerned "I have had a look at your record and can confirm that you are very kindly paying Brooke a Direct Debit of £7.50 per month as you mentioned, and we are so very grateful for this generous support. Therefore I would like to sincerely apologise, as there seems to have been an administrative error within the wording of your letter, stating that your Direct Debit is in fact £8.00 per month. Please be assured that I have escalated this error with my colleagues, who will look into this as a matter of urgency– thank you so much for taking the time to let us know your feedback". Well, your guess is as good as mine. Just wonder how many other people they have tried it out on?
Unfortunately, lots of charity shops are now shutting down, for example Oxfam to close high street shops in response to pandemic | UK Fundraising
The charity we support has closed its doors until July. I don't know what they have put in place for the people they look after.
