    Is the water level dropping at all? The weather forecast is looking fairly good for the next couple of weeks so you may get some respite. :)

        Well that's an improvement if not a great one. :) 5 ft suits me too but I'm not American, just old school that still needs a conversion chart. I still use an old balance scale in the kitchen with pound and ounce weights. :biggrin:

          Sheal your not alone,..i always have to start with thinking,.. 30cm = 12 inches,..x 5 = 150cm,..reminds me of the school tables :old:

          I still get stuck with the liquid measurements.

            Ooooo you're better at this than me. :) Remembering yards, feet and inches....why does decimalisation complicate things. If I go out to buy something large I write down both imperial measurements and decimal - that would usually be feet and inches or centimetres. I find the item and discover it's in millimetres, yet smaller items are measured in centimetres. Absolutely barmy! :biggrin:

              @Sheal ,

              I still think in Pounds instead of euros,..and always think in inches and feet first :ideaIPB:,..i purchased a pair of Levi Strauss Jeans,..couldn't find the waist and leg size in the usual inside label,..now its outside the jeans on the leather Levi Strauss Logo at the waist,..very handy i suppose if someone was thinking of giving a pair as a present,..just check one out from behind.

                    I remember talking to a teenager about the difference between Imperial and Metric and he said that they are only taught metric at school and he doesn't understand anything about Imperial measurements.

                    So I asked him 'how tall are you' and he replied '5 foot 9' :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

                              Looking good Philip. Just stay safe from the virus ... but at least you have wide open spaces nearby with no people. We are fortunate to have a nice garden surrounded by orange groves. I haven't left the property since the 24th going to the Physio and T'other Half has only gone food shopping and to the Chemist and Post Office Our post goes to a Post Office 7kms away but not going daily. Might go today as I have notice of a delivery there.

                              Sunny today and 18c so will do a few things outside as we may have a drizzly weekend.

                                @Victoria ,

                                Thanks Victoria,..touch wood the Virus has kept away from my area,..there are over 17.000 of a population here in my County and so far no deaths,..however this Virus can spread very quickly.

                                We had schools closed and non essential businesses from very early though in the 6 Counties they had no school closures or non essential businesses which was madness as the Virus knows no borders,..politics of course.

                                Up to now i have kept out of circulation as much as possible,..just out for doggy walk each day and food when needed every 14 days.

                                I am very pleased to see you are keeping to your garden and the Orange Groves,..keep well and safe,..hoping every one else is keeping a low profile and keeps well.
