Good afternoon everyone I have just had my Tescos shopping delivery only half the usual items, and cannot book anymore deliveries ,they are fully booked until at least May at the earliest,so it looks like Woo will now have to halt his self imposed exile and do his weekly shopping in the future:smile:

I fear some people have simply reserved delivery slots and blocked the system for everyone else.

parent's in law neighbours freezer packed in last night and she couldn’t find a replacement as people have bought them all! Guess there’s a siege mentality going around turning some of the population into survivalists...

I expect that soon the supermarkets will have to restrict people to a single basket of shopping at a time

That was brought up at the PM's afternoon briefing and they said there is no evidence of it yet. They didn't deny it outright.

@Islander77 , so sorry to hear of your pain and grief. Keep strong, and we will be here ready to talk to you when you are ready to face the world again.

@Beckie76 , I feel for you. At the moment, I can cope here in Belgium, as people are generally civilised. All we had in two supermarkets we shopped in today (and yes, we normally do both Lidl and Aldi, Aldi’s choco-crunch cereal is divine, but their veg is not!) was a sign up in Aldi saying “keep your distance, no more than 5 of any item”, and each person in Lidl being asked to take a trolley (automatic 1.5m distancing in front, and easy to count how many are in the shop at any time). And this is a country that has been in semi lockdown for 10 days, and lockdown for 5 days....

I don’t think I could cope with the UK right now, I am glad I can’t travel, or get back if I leave the mainland...

I have to be honest, I really don't like this country at the moment - or at least, I don't like the way that many people seem to be behaving.

I sincerely hope that all of those charlatans that are profiteering from people's fears (looking at you, Jhoots Pharmacy amongst others) by overcharging for basic items, end up going bust in the long run.

Likewise those companies that have treated their staff like :steamy:

                        Yeah, is that so?
I'm not sure where this is heading but I think it has at least blown out the so called Climate "Emergency", there is no emergency other than what is the making of those running things.

Keep calm and carry on, the blitz spirit, heard all those phrases recently and we are being forced to do the opposite.

                        What a palaver.

I wonder how shops are classified 'essential'. After 12 months of sitting down I will wear out the bottom of my trousers, where are we supposed to go and buy more? Not everyone can use the internet and I don't like buying clothes online they never fit.

My contribution to panic buying was to lay in 150L of garden soil, 270L of compost and 50kg of grit. All now under the bench in the greenhouse, so I'm now set for the year regardless of restrictions.

It'll all be over by Christmas.

So we spent 10yrs in so called "austerity" to get where we are now.
In the next month we will be back to where we was 10yrs ago.

When this is all over it won't actually be worth living in this country because paying back this lot is going to kill more people than the virus.
The young will bear the brunt of it, good job they are less affected by it.
