That good news to start the day with @shiney !!

Off to the cemetery now to give Mum some flowers then to my sister's to cut her hair. I'm going to let her have a go at cutting mine too, so that she can take over in case my friend (ex colleague) decides not to carry on for a while. My hair grows so quickly and needs cutting every 6 weeks. Wish me luck.....hope she puts that pudding bowl away!!!!!

It's still pitch here and the thermometer is shivering at 19f and the television says it is -8c. I have issues about thinking in Celsius.. The weather guessers have promised me a sunny day so at least there's that to look forward to and I plan to get outside for the afternoon.

@shiney I'm glad your relatives can get back to England but was curious why they couldn't get home the same way as planned for their original return date? Did something change and stop the rails?

Today is linen laundering and whatever else hasn't been through the machines this week. I'm making a loaf of gluten free bread and going to finish cleaning the main floor. And of course, my beloved Corrie is on this morning - all of this weeks 6 episodes.

What breed of dog is Amber, is she a type that requires a really good walk or a smaller less energetic one that can be satisfied by a mooch around in the garden ?

Well my hair cut went absolutely fine yesterday, I did all the front half myself and that left my sister to have to deal only with the back bit which was easy for her to do .
Phew!!!!!

Lovely day here again so off into the garden I will be going after the indoor chores are done.

Good day everyone and Happy Birthday @Flumpy !
It is snowing. There is an accumulation of about 3 inches so far. But, what is great is that I got most of the leaves gathered from around the raised beds and on the lawn yesterday. Still had the side yard to do along the fence but that will have to wait. And my heater is doing great and is keeping the greenhouse up around the 47f mark.

The indoor set up containers got watered and I pulled the soil blocks that should have had seeds germinating but didn't. Naughty lavender seeds never hatched so will sow anew.

I've got the job of going through all of my cans of paint on my to do list today and good timing to be working inside because of the snow. I'll pack up the cans that are of zero use and jar up any paint that can be used for touch ups around the house and pack up those cans too. They'll all go to the hazardous waste disposal. I've got some chairs to go to the good will as well. It is supposed to be nicer by Wednesday and I can go by the waste place on the way to the docs that morning.

@moyra I hope you manage to get out soon. You must suffer from cabin fever when you get confined like that.
