    The trouble is, Malcolm, that we can interpret what is essential and what is not in so many different ways:dunno:. I, personally, cannot see why a professional gardener should not continue working so long as he/she uses common sense and keep that social distance, but there are many who can find reasons why they shouldn't. People who are self employed need the income and be able to pay the bills but the pressure is on them to stop working. My Barber has had to shut down and he really can't afford to, but he has just had a Liver transplant so he has no immunity but, despite that, if it was up to him he would still be cutting hair.:heehee: If Barbers are not allowed to open within the next few weeks I'm going to be looking like only my hair is the colour of what I like to think is Ash Blonde rather White:whistle::heehee:

          That's another site shut, all tbeir subcontactor's plant was loaded up and taken away earlier. Their showhouse has been open 6 months and they haven't sold a single house, paid too much for a problem site, greeady, houses way overpriced and waiting for prices to rise I reckon, they appeared to have cashflow problems a year ago when all their subcontractors dissapeared for many weeks.

          A failing business who'll now be expecting a share of taxpayer handouts? I hope help for those is weeded out. And as they're a 'family firm' with their kids made managers/directors as soon as they leave school, they can now all claim 80% of their inflated salaries whilst all this goes on.

                As Boris is being ignored again - I reckon we're not far away from enforced lock down - either police or police with the help of military personnel.

                  I see that the First Minister of Scotland when defining Scotland's definition of the Lock Down today has said that she believes that Professional Gardeners and Window Cleaners should carry on working so long as they observe social distancing because they can be a help to the Community. I agree, as I have said before, and probably the UK Government will be in line with that. The only problem I can see with that is that with the fast changing situation, and the moronic behaviour of some of the Public, that the present partial lock down will be reluctantly changed to a full lock down.:dunno::wallbanging::coffee:

                        I heard a report today that there has been a 30% increase in food waste from a local council ...most of it still in the wrappers ..that's thanks to greedy grasping :mute:
