Corona Virus Treatment

It was meant to show how fast it could spread and overload the NHS. If projected a further 24hrs the total infected would have been more than the entire UK population.

 

Like they did here, shot the animals then put bags over head and feet then left for a week then took to the fire, people wouldn't stand the smell (from rotting animals not the fire) which we had to when the wind was blowing our way, even then people were braking the movement laws/rules so we haven't learned anything from then

I have seen a head line in the last week that USA have only just lifted the import ban on UK meat from when we had BSE

 

I agree. This reminds me of a analogy from days gone by ... save a penny today, two tomorrow, four the next day, double each day and under a month you'd have a million!

 

We were set the problem of calculating how many grains of rice you would have on a chessboard; if you put 1 on the first square, 2 on the second etc. Pointing out that a chessboard couldn't anything like that much rice was the wrong answer.
Staying with mathematics just heard More or Less (Radio 4) talking about the statistics of the corona virus pandemic wrt UK, both health and economic. Well worth a listen as it is factual; repeated 9:30pm or iplayer.

 

I didn't see this. But apparently he also said going to the allotment is OK. Someone from my allotment association contacted me and asked if it was wise to go - given that Govers had said it was. My response - Gov't say avoid non-essential travel - so don't go.

Problem is everyone touches the lock and gate - it's difficult to keep allotment holders at a safe distance - because that's the whole point of allotments - social contact.

I haven't been down to my plot for a couple of weeks now - I do miss the place and people - but on the plus side my garden at home has never had such time lavished on it.

I just received a Text from the Government telling me to stay at home.

Does anyone know who the Government is targeting with these Texts?

I am 53 years old, Autistic but no Respiratory or Heart problems.

Also, I finally got through to Sainsbury yesterday and was told that I am not eligible for their Vulnerable Customer Priority List even though I am recognised by the DWP as being Severely Disabled and by the Council as a Vulnerable Adult.

I am not able to cope around people etc. and rely on Online Shopping Deliveries, the reason given was that I do not have any Respiratory or Heart issues.

Well, one way to lose weight I guess.

My Sister has told me to let them know what I need and they will do there best to pick it up but they have there own issues so I am loathe to bother them.

I have not even heard from my Brothers family.

Seems like most people @Kevin Cowans... I haven't been to the Drs for nearly 4yrs now and apart from supplements for boosting bone density I don't take any medication at all. I received the same text yesterday!

Well I've decided to wait and see what happens at least until the end of the week until a lady at the bottom of the street rang up and ask if I could quickly come and cut her grass , so now home and own garden only .

I got a text messages as well yesterday @Kevin Cowans they no reason to send me one either, so I would assume they are sending them to everyone.

Glad a bought 16 bags of compost last week well prepared
