Well, Islander, I wouldn't say that he's yours but more like you're his!!:heehee: To get him to trust you so much is a great achievement and him allowing you to stroke and scratch his head and neck is probably not far off. If has taken nearly 8 weeks to get the white Kitten of my two Kittens to let me stroke her and scratch her on the tummy, and now she rubs against the back of my legs, demands that stroke and scratch, has her tail up as she walks to me and in front of me....so time will tell.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

lol.. Tonto is a very unusual little cat. I have bred Siamese and then rescued for over 40 years and never one like him. He has made all the advances and all the running. Still scared of direct face on hand contact but when I approach from the back when he is eating... He had a fight with Stinkertom ( his dad; long story!) and had an eye injury but was happy to let me bathe it if I approached from the back . Food is everything to him of course. Magic! How anyone could treat him like that.. Oh his name! It was Oliver who brought him home. Oliver is a lone ranger, so Tonto! Utter devotion he is but looking at his face on the photo you can see the wildness

Sadly Bramble crossed rainbow bridge on Monday, in the morning he was fine, had his walk and his cornflakes, just before lunch time, he had a seizure, and collapsed, took him to the vets, his gums were pale, and his lips were cold, which suggested he was bleeding internally, so we put the old fellar to sleep. Ribeye steak and chips will never be the same again, without our Brambs giving me the loves you dad eyes. 15 1/2 years of fun and border collie antics.

Thanks for yours and everyones nice comments, over the years we have had 9 dogs, and although its a horrible thing to have to go through, when one is ill, or passes, I enjoy my time with my dogs, whilst I can. Luckily we dont have children :hapfeet:, so quite often, we will lock the gates, and go away, maybe north yorks, scotland, peak district etc for a couple of days, but under the current circumstances, it was a deck chair in the nursery, and a bowl of ice cream.

Yes it's very upsetting when they're I'll or when they pass away but i wouldn't be without them.

OK; so you have seen Tonto, my latest rescue. !

Now meet Jacob! Who loves.... yes, sleeping... He was surrendered to a rescue several years ago as they were moving to live with someone who was allergic to cats. He was so tame and friendly. A big cat. NB all my cats are colour matched; all black and white..

Jacob also loves what we call here in Ireland " giving out"!

                                And looking regal and stately....
