Well, the Government has consistently done that, clanless, but people, organisations and the Police are, consistently, interpreting the advice in different ways, some out of ignorance, some out of their own fears and circumstances, others, such as the Police, from having to take into account the way that the Public and individuals behave.
You've got your head screwed on, clanless, so just have to use your commonsense as to what the right thing to do is and, doing that, will give you that clarity you're asking for.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Our police force is reporting that they are getting 10 - 15 calls a day from people that are snitting on people that are having "House Party's"

The police visited a number of Boots stores last week to check that they were only selling 'essentials' such as medicine and not selling things like make up or hair dyes; indeed, it was further mandated out through the group that staff could not even purchase items like this, despite the fact that it is obviously expected of them that they maintain a suitable appearance for work.

Social media definitely has its negatives, but in fairness it is often not as bad as it is made out to be - indeed, there are a lot of things that appear on social media as news that later appear on the mainstream media, despite social media being criticised for only providing fake news. The key, like everything in life, is knowing what to take seriously and what not to take seriously.

Then they would find themselves in conflict with the Government as while the emergency laws gave them powers it was not a given power to lay down restrictions on what to buy with in any essential Stores, as there is nothing to stop customers in buying "none essential" items when in a Store buying essential items or medicines. I have to say that I'm am always wary of these stories as they are sometimes designed to add to the uncertainty, stress. and also suspicion of the Police:dunno::wallbanging:

I must be honest we didn't notice, but can look next week if that helps, you may not get any because the bread maker's may be baking a lot of bread to catch up because of the panic buying, there's no shorties of wheat but it shouldn't take that long to catch up if ever thing is working has it should, but also the shop's may not be putting it out?

They may well find themselves in conflict with the government, assuming that of course if ever made it to the government's attention - - -if you are faced with an officer from The Met telling you that they are checking you are not selling items that are non-essential, are you going to argue? Are you hell as like - you are going to do the "yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir" just to get them out of your shop then you are going to tell all your colleagues in other stores what not to sell. I can think of nobody working on a Boots shop floor for minimum wage that is prepared to be arrested just because they know what is right and wrong and feel like sticking up to plod.

Oh, and be as wary as you like - Mrs C works for Boots, and it has come from the horses mouth. The police are very deserving of suspicion to be blunt.

Fair point - don't go out of your way to look for it, not least as we are in different areas of the country, I was merely curious.
