Finally decided on a pattern for the pergola tops, made a template and cut one, nothing to fancy but my wife likes it so that's half the battle won:heehee: needs a bit of sanding down but I'll do that when I've cut them all, the rains just started so it looks like I've finished for today. 20200402_133737.jpg

Mrs Shiney has been doing the nice jobs of pricking out, potting on, splitting etc.

Apart from moving the sprinkler around the beds (some plants are very sad) I've been doing the nasty job of sorting out our backed up drains to our cesspool! :yikes: All the manholes are recessed metal ones with paving slabs in them to match the patio slabs. Nowadays I find them a bit to heavy to move easily so have been struggling. :old:  I've rodded everything through, replaced the covers and hosed down everywhere.

I took a break part way through and read 26 pages of the manual for our new mower. I was a bit disconcerted to see that there is no longer a pull start for it but only an electric one. I'll have to make sure the battery is always fully charged.

Just returned from shopping to find a parcel of 15 different varieties of Phlox on the doorstep:yes::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:. So, after putting the shopping away I'm off to the Green House to pot the Phlox up.

As I'm getting low on compost to sow my seeds in I have now begun sowing them on damp kitchen roll inside Ziploc bags, IMG_20200402_143010_hdr.jpg IMG_20200402_164535_hdr.jpg so far so good and germination is high.:dbgrtmb:

Just potted up another batch this afternoon.
