Self isolating and lock down time
Original time was three weeks, they knew it was longer but did not want to cause panic

      Seek and ye shall find
      Mortgage holiday 12 weeks
      MOT suspended 12 weeks
Credit card zero interest 12 weeks
Wee Jimmy Krankie "I can not see the peak in the next few weeks it will be longer

I hope this helps, after a week of trying to get an online food delivery, I managed to get one from Iceland. Ok there are a few items not available.

3rd week working from home is over :yikes:

          The positives so far:
Incredible sense of community within and across teams at work, "That's not my responsibilty" "Sorry, I don't have the capacity to do help" "I'll connect with your management on that" have disappeared. It's just Us, humans and colleagues trying to sort things out.

Getting more personal and close than in face to face world. I have learnt the names of my colleagues' and managers' kids, what pets they have, seen their houses etc. Personally, we have always sent long emails with my Dad (we are in different countries), but rarely called. Now we video call every Sunday.

New connection with The Teenager and the (until now virtually unknown) "Healthy Life" (I believe that's how they call it...) We take a daily walk together after we log off, an hour of walking in the nearby woods and fields is a treat (perhaps excluding the walk when The Teenager nearly stepped on a very dead rat). And since we know it's the only outing, we take it regardless of the weather or "not really feeling like it". It is the new routine, and one that I'd love not to lose when we return back to normal life.

So personally this is a challenge, but so far the negative impact has been in form of inconvenience and annoyances. We are very lucky here in Selleriland. Watching and hearing from the news and friends builds a totally different picture on what the situation is doing for individuals elsewhere. As usual, the poor and non-privileged are hit the worst.

            Why a credit card amnesty

              Just guesswork then.

Perhaps in these times it would be better only to deal with known facts Jack.

Good morning lets put some perspective on this:old:

                        Most people with COVID-19 recover.
Estimates now suggest that 99% of people infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 will recover. Some people have no symptoms at all. And while thousands of people have died, the overall death rate is about 1% (or perhaps even lower), far less than MERS (about 34%), SARS (about 11%), or Ebola (90%), though higher than the average seasonal flu (0.1%).The loss of life related to this illness is terrible and far more cases are expected, but based on the fatality rates alone, it could be far worse.;)

Good morning Woo. Maybe it is too early for me to think, but I don't understand your figures. Let's take the UK and round the figures ... Confirmed Cases 38,000 : Total Deaths 3,600 ... is that not 9-10%? Or are you talking about percent of population?
