Yep I'm repeating myself I know but nevertheless I seriously hope all is as good as it possibly can be for everyone.

Another great day to come albeit maybe a tad cloudier today.

@moyra how are you doing with your back/ shoulder pain, hope it's eased up now for you.

Off for a day doing 'Dad chores' , it will be good to see him .

Have a great day yourselves and keep up the work....we'll all get through this together.:dbgrtmb:

Good morning all, feeling a bit fed up, my manager rang me yesterday saying me and my hubby could go for the covid19 test at Manchester airport, we submitted the forms on line but didn’t here anything back, my boss is thinking, because my temperature (on there thermometer was 38) again I could have piece of mind, I also think they don’t believe my hubby only had tonsillitis because he has been left with a tickley cough,

Hello again, I think a technician in America has solved my pc problems. It seems to be working ok again now. Thank the good Lord for that. Cost £22. Not bad! Have a good day all and stay safe. God bless. :wub2:

          Good day
We had a lovely downpour overnight. We really needed some water. The ground wasn't cracking dry but still, we hadn't had a proper rain for a week. I've got patches of lawn that have grass seed and topsoil to try to fill in bald spots so this rain was a bonus.

It is supposed to get sunny this afternoon and I may start rewiring the electric fence. It's about the right time for the raccoons to start patrolling and looking for cushy digs. They got under my deck years ago and destroyed the insulation around my hot tub and some of the piping which destroyed it so I had to pay a lot a money to have an expensive toy removed. I have been at war with them since. :paladin:

I cannot believe that I may actually have a couple of carnivorous plant sprouts. At least I think that is what I've been lucky enough to have accomplished. I'm going to spend part of the morning looking at pictures of their leaves online for comparison. :)

Friends have been sending me links to videos for face masks (non medical) and I know it is well meaning but the ones I have been sewing are much better than those in the presentations because they are shaped and lined, not those fan fold face bandaid type. I just thank them and am glad they are thinking of me.

Have a lovely day everyone and keep your social bubble big. :)

Just updating you all, we got our emails at 12noon to tell us to be at Manchester Airport for 1.30pm, thankfully the roads where quiet and made it in just under an hour, both of us have had the test and have to wait 72 hours for the result, keep your fingers and toes crossed for us :spinning:

Are you all still keeping well ?:fingers crossed:

Another great day here, the sun is out in full force.

I have lots of potting on to do today as all this sunshine has made the seedlings grow very rapidly indeed.

                  Enjoy your day.:spinning:

                    Aloha everyone,

I missed being on this thread yesterday as things just seemed to crop up all the time. I made an early morning trip into town for wrinklies time shopping. I got to the supermarket half an hour before opening (still ended up in the queue round the car park) and the person that came into the queue after me was the one who was behind me went I went a week ago.

It was very civilised shopping with only a low number of people allowed in at a time, everyone keeping their distance and I went straight out through the self-service checkout having used their handset. Did my food deliveries on the way home and was home 2 1/2 hours after leaving. A half hour cleaning/washing the shopping or isolating the non-perishables outside.

Then it was a lot of gardening and a lot of phone calls to deal with. I even spoke to BT again to thank the senior man for the compensation he sent (for having to spend so much time on the phone sorting things out) and squeezed another £5 per month off the bill. :heehee:

Our Nephew who has Covid is still very bad after 14 days. Mrs Shiney spends an hour on the phone to him every evening calming him down, reducing his pain levels and slowing his heart rate. He is now using the techniques himself at times which is also helping a bit. He is very weak.

I finally received my runner bean seeds yesterday - 600+ of them. My supplier has been having trouble getting my usual variety, Polestar, and has only been able to send me 200 of those. He has sent the rest as Firestorm which he says he grows himself because he likes them. I can now sow some for the orders I have.

                    Keep well

                    Aloha!

On dear sorry to hear about your nephew @shiney.

Our friends son is also having a very tough time with it too . He's normally a very fit and healthy 32 year old with no underlying problems..scary! He lives just around the corner from us....double scary, it is seemingly getting closer!!

All our shopping arrived with my Dad's online order yesterday, they had everything I ordered.:dbgrtmb: We're OK for at least another 3wks now . As I absolutely detest all types of shopping trips.......I'm happy!! :)

Good morning everyone, I spoke too soon about the guy in America fixing my PC. In the end I had to get the same team in as I had three years ago £295. but I guess its worth it. I am now ok fingers crossed.

My back and shoulders are still sore but I started gout again yesterday and can hardly walk. Oh such is life
Have a good day everyone and stay safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

Shiney sorry to hear your Nephew has Covid19, has he been tested for it? And have they put him on antibiotics?, sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.

Upsydaisy, so glad you’ve been able to see your dad, how is he?

Moyra how are you feeling today, have you managed to speak to your surgery about your meds?

We can’t get delivery slots round here for weeks, I keep wanting to get my parents shopping delivered to them but you can’t , it makes it difficult when they are not meant to go out.
