I’m so lucky to have a good size garden. It was a jungle but we have been working really hard to tame it. I’m so excited to see how it looks when everything comes out. We have a lady in our village who produces plants for sale and so I have been able to just order from her and she pops them into her drive along with a few freebies. One of which I stuck in my rockery after googling it and thought it looked perfect. A couple of days later I thought I’d better check and see how big it might get. Verbascum can reach man height!! Hoiked it out and replced it with a lovely geranium... lesson learnt!!
Anyway. Thank you all for you help with my novice queries.

@Tara Jane Welcome to GC :dbgrtmb:

I'm sure you are going to have an enjoyable time with your garden.

Did you check which Verbascum it is as there are different varieties and different sizes?

Thank you for your reply. I didn’t but I will. I’m not quite sure where to put it if it’s 6’. I’m going to return her pots so I’ll ask then.

@Tara Jane This is a one of the Verbascums that doesn't grow more than 4ft high. The bees love it.

Oh wow. I love that. Could you tell me the variety. The problem is that the lady who I have been buying my plants from is really lovely and they’re good quality but she’s a bit dotty and doesn’t Necessarily know what it is she is handing out eg my lovely hardy geranium turned out to be an annual it’s going to be very exciting to see what actually develops! It’s so exciting though because my garden really was pretty wild. I think it used to be amazing but the couple who we bought the house from were elderly and it got away from them a bit. I’ve learnt a lot in the last few months!!
