One other thing I noticed at the building site was that despite months of heavy footfall, big boy boots, concrete, fires and huge upheaval... I had a single asparagus spear pop out of a flowerbed Perfectly timed for my visit and was delicious

 

Not looking good Sheal, there's posts all over facebook asking if anyone has bags of plaster! Granted they want tiny quantities but it's indicative... fingers crossed the builders network can come through...

 

Ah, wallboard (presumably the same as what we call pasterboard) isn't an issue as he ordered a bunch of it early on. It's the plaster render to go over it that's in short supply. It will knacker the progress that was going so well.

Fingers crossed they can open up some production facilities in near future as there's going to be a huge backlog

It's the standard construction method in the UK now, unless it's a load bearing wall obviously. As long as you understand how the wall is constructed and the limitations I have never had an issue with them.
Did have a rental place once and the tenant decided to put up shelves which promptly fell off the wall. He was a ****!

 

Underfloor heating is laid and the screed going do as we speak! Scaffolding all coming down tomorrow
