"A group of 10 stopped in 2 vehicles on A5 #Bethesda earlier, having travelled from London with the intent of going for a walk in Snowdonia.

Told to return home immediately and escorted back to the A55 by @NWPRPU. Reported for breaching #COVID19 legislation."

and

"Staff from local hotel challenged a man seen returning to his car after he'd walked up #Snowdon earlier. Travelled from Cumbria. Abusive when challenged thinking regulations did not apply. @CheshNWalesAAP stopped him on A55. Reported for breaching #COVID19 legislation"

Saturday was a National holiday here, Revolution Day/Day of the Carnations, but sadly there were no cannons blasting off at sunrise or fireworks later in the day.

May Day is also a National holiday here too like in many countries. It is a day for family gatherings but as with Easter we are on strict lockdown 1-3 May and not permitted out of our home counties except for emergencies, work, etc.

Ah, another excuse to laze in the garden!

 

Yes but we still have to be careful, still in lockdown until the PM says so.

 

This is what I like about BoJo - he conveys ideas in such a way that even simpletons such as myself can understand:

With all this new hospital capacity they have built up recently it would be good if they kept some or all of it in the future and used it to shorten the historical and often far too long waiting lists that we see all the time.

 

Don't believe the papers when they say we're going to start reducing the lockdown by doing this and then that it's not true.

 

Haven't read a paper for well over 40yrs.
