A month ago hubby got a email from the local gc, saying that they're starting taking orders over the phone, with free delivery for orders over £30.

B&Q is starting to open their stores now, might be able to get compost from there if you want to wait in a queue for hours on end with social distancing.

Yes most of our local GC's are doing click and collect too and our local B&Q has been open a fortnight now. Queuing tends to only be on opening ,during the day you rarely have to.

I hope our local GC does it would be great. My local B&Q is doing click and collect but when you visit the website the queue is for hours. I was lucky today got to Homebase at 9.45 this morning and was in at 10.15 the only thing was they really didn't have much in. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose. I'm happy with my 2 bags of compost for now (keep me out of trouble for a few days) :heehee:

As we use so much compost I started looking around last week when we only had 4 x 60 litre bags of Clover MPC. The small local Budgens supermarket had so 40 litre bags and I bought four of them. I'm not excited about the quality - but it's better than nothing and I'm mixing it with Clover. I put out a message about needing more if anyone has spares I could buy from them and have already received two bags with another two on offer in a week's time. :dbgrtmb:

I agree. As it has been so hot in the sun the nearest shade is 60ft from the greenhouse so carrying about 50 trays of pots is tedious  :phew:

                  Raining today :hapydancsmil:

Morning all, yet again I’ve not been on the forum much this week as yet again had an awful incident with the nightmare neighbours from hell. Totally sick of it!!! Called the police and called our local councillor-finally getting somewhere to sort these imbeciles out.

Gardening wise I have been busy-potting up tomato plants, pricking out beetroot and lettuces, lots of watering (hoorah-no need for that today), treating the pond with fish treatment (we had another fish i had to pts because of what looked like a bad bacterial infection-the poor fish must have been hiding), planting more trees, planting more hydrangeas etc.

Hopefully by the end of the week we will have heard about our car port planning app. God I hope it’s approved to totally block out the morons.

@Loofah well it involves someone snapping heads of plants, peering through the gaps in the fence, marching up and down our boundary and sticking their head over the fence and then shouting at me. Thank god for cctv. Police and local councillor are dealing with that now.

Then to top it off today-I think I’ve got shingles again. I had it when I was 20. I bet the stress of all this has caused it. Waiting for the docs to call me back. The rash is so itchy painful. So annoying.

They sound delightful. Any chance you could sue them and shut them up forever? Sorry to hear about the shingles, I hear it's quite painful!
