Yes @Snorky85 . One only offers in serious cases to throw a curse and where it is proven deserving. Else it bounces. But it rarely happens when trying to protect others and for unselfish reasons, they say. By ash and oak... Or it could just be that what goes around finally comes around. :rolleyespink:

New Orleans is a honkytonk towns. Lots of fun. I did the garden tour and being from a snowy region, was fascinated!

My sister had shingles and I remember the terrible time she had with it. I hope the meds work faster than stated. Hugs from me.

@Snorky85 You could get a picture of their face, put it on a scarecrow and hang it from a tree in your front garden. :heehee: :runforhills:

You said in a previous post that you had a problem with your soakaways? So, thought you must have more than one septic tank if you have more than one soakaway

funnily enough, the last two years my lovely neighbour farmer (who also has a heap load of trouble with them) suggested we put two “guys” on her november bonfire. This year it is a must!! :heehee:

@CanadianLori the only time I went to Nola it blimmin snowed!! No garden tours for me...so I did a witchcraft tour :stirpot:

Pouring down here too! Been outside ( undercover) potting on the Asters 'Blue Ribbon' but had to stop midway to drive over to pick up our click and collect order of 300L of compost and to fill up the car's petrol tank. Will go back out now to carry on the potting on.

Well, it rains again and looking at the weather forecast it might be a wet start of the month.
So, after work I'll go digging nonetheless.
But I ordered £12 wellies from amazon, my garden shoes are a bit battered and less water proof that they used to be..

Spent a long time in the tunnel today. Ive pricked out what felt like a thousand coleus and potted them on. Then potted on the courgettes and cucumbers. Then it was the turn of the chilli peppers and sweet peppers. Then potted on a few Ensete that were rooting through the pots and into the sand on the heated bed. Ive used over 100L of compost and, despite moving some plants outside and selling a few, the tunnel is getting fuller

                    Hello everyone! :new:

Still trying to figure out how to use this thread so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place! I could also go in to detail about my amateurish gardening but I'll save that until another post...

I'm just discovering new plants in my garden as I only moved here last year and this is the first Spring/full Summer here...

I wasn't that fussed on a small shrub that was in a pot by the pond and was going to take it out and hide it somewhere at the back of the garden... That was until it sprang in to bloom....now it's one of my favourites in the garden!

I just want to know exactly what it is so I can research it's needs and whether it would be better in (a prominent position!) the border. Google searches have so far drawn a blank but I'm sure such a lovely plant is well known to a more experienced eye...

Hi there @Clueless in Cumbria, are you still suffering from nosey walkers....we are that's for sure
We have quite a few Azaleas which are quite stunning when in bloom but agree with you that they are a bit nondescript for the rest of the year.

Potted on the rest of the Asters, Salvias, a couple of Cherry Tomatoes, pricked out a 2nd batch of Whirlygig Zinnias.

Oh dear @Snorky85, I am so sad to hear that you are going through so much trouble. How on earth do people like that get to become a director of an estate management company? Or perhaps his behaviour is a symptom of his job title. Must have a really small willy.

                              Hello!

I DID think it might be but I thought it was WAY too small! I didn't know you could get them so small....I guess keeping it in the pot kept it 'mini'.

                              THANK YOU! :ThankYou:

                                Hello again @Upsydaisy !

Yes, we are....though at the moment the weather has turned so the 'fair-weather walkers' are nowhere to be seen

I'm thinking of making a motion-sensor 'cough' alarm that goes off when they get too close....if I get a prototype sorted I'll send you one!

I nearly bought an Azalea before realising I now have one (lol) but you're right, they're a bit nondescript when they're not in bloom. It's colour is amazing though, I might still put it in the border as I have a few more plants on the way that I may need the pot for.
