      Hello @lolimac

      Thanks for the reply.

I will try and get a close up of the flower, probably tomorrow now.

      Thanks

      Kevin

          Hello @ARMANDII

          Sorry for bothering you.

Do you happen to know which variant of Clematis Montana the above images depict?

          Thanks in advance

          Kevin

Going by the size and very pink colour it could be 'Freda'

          Hello all

          Sorry for not replying sooner.

Thanks for all the replies, it seems it is not a straightforward Clematis to identify, I have looked online at the suggestions that have been offered and in all honesty it could be any of them :)

For now I think I will just label it as a 'Clematis Montana'.

          Thanks

          Kevin

          Hello @wiseowl

If it is acceptable to you, could you leave it open, i.e. not solved, as I would really like to know which variant it is?

          Thanks

          Kevin

Hi @Kevin Cowans , with C. Montana the difference is not only with the flowers but the leaves too. Some have red/mahogany tinted leaves while others have all red leaves

              Hello @KFF

              Thanks for the reply.

Would a close up photo of both the Flower and the Leaf be of any help?

              Kevin
