Never mind the conditions to ease lock down - we only have one - that daily deaths should be in the 10's and not the 100's - with this we will gingerly emerge with caution.

I do miss going out and mingling - especially the moaning old geezers down the allotment - but this is a price I'm willing to pay to protect my family.

        From the beeb:

Cars from "all over the UK" have been seen in traffic gridlock in north Devon, police said.

Roads towards the coast are jammed and drivers are being urged not to travel there, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

This Covid-19 business must be all over then.....

Just looked it up, Social distancing in France its 1 meter, in Germany its 1.5 meters.
Notice Meters not Metres, I 'm getting ready for Brexit.:biggrin:

So, ......Why are we 2 Meters, 6ft 6in in real terms????
Are we really that much more infectious?

We keep getting told we should follow other countries and we missed the boat regarding lock down, but we are not following them regarding this.
Bearing in mind most places are just not big enough to allow a 6ft 6 distance it might be a good idea to sort this out.

When I sneeze. I can spatter the otherside of the room. Charts, numbers, distancesblah. IMO the only wise advice at the moment is. Stay indoors.

Okay. A violent sneeze can be nasty but don't most people cover their nose/mouth when they feel a peppery nose? And that is precisely why wearing a mask is helping to protect the other guy.

Besides that, you are helping my weight loss efforts. I just lost my appetite thinking about your open sneezes:thud:

Mixing threads here but you have a good point @Mike Allen about seeing friends when shopping. I lined up outside the harware store and lucky for me, an old acquaintance landed up two meters behind me. Had a lovely chat. We moved along in "tandem" ,sort of, until I got to the front of the line and was firmly told by a store employee to move inside. It was my turn and I was enjoying the conversation and lost track of the queue and wasn't ready to go in!

I was piggybacking on a friend's online order (just add a few items) and wanted some long red sweet peppers. Sorry, out of stock and we'll substitute a bottle of Tabasco sauce! Who writes the algorithms for these programmes? :wallbanging:

So I ticked no substitutes. :)

The NHS is still open, but apparently you cant get a dental appointment unless you are suicidal with pain and have suffered 6 weeks or so, at which point they will rip it out for you, even if it might be saveable.
And I still cant see a doctor, I can get a blood test, so obviously nurses are expendable, but doctors , GPs, are too precious and not seeing anyone unless you're dead at which point they will put CV on your death certificate.;)

Has the NHS really copped well, the care home scandal of moving patients back into care homes to stop the NHS being overwhelmed will be damming I think.

I'd clap for the people who work for the NHS, but would I clap for the actual NHS, I dont think so.
