@Upsydaisy I am so glad I took my face mask even though we were easily able to keep 6 feet apart because there were hoards of midges. I wore my sunglasses too even though there were periods of cloudiness. The walking and sound of the water was lovely. The fish and chips were delish :)

          Aloha everyone,

We've been very busy (gardening and electronic communication/studying) and still no rain.

@Flumpy we never sell out of plants. There are a few thousand left! We also give lots of plants to friends. At the moment we have hundreds of Cleome (spider plant) that germinated (I'm sure that it was more than 100% germination :heehee:) and have been potted on. This is how they should look
          [IMG]

          Keep well

          Aloha!

They half hardy annuals and can grow quite tall.

We've also grown a fair amount of Cobaea - a very fast growing annual climber

Good morning everyone, nice and bright again, shall be glad when I am allowed out in it.
I had a terrible night up and down every couple of hours and I am watching how much I drink during the afternoon so that I do not drink not even water in the evenings but still its like an everflowing tap. Oh well such is life. Must have another go at my doctor. My knees and feet are much better but my shoulders are giving me hell now. That and my back!
I hope you are all managing to keep well. Take care and stay safe. God Bless. :wub2:

@moyra try doing what I do. Keeping properly hydrated is very important so, to avoid having to keep going at inconvenient times, I drink four mugs of warm water early in the morning. You should then wait for at least half an hour before having breakfast. Cups of tea are OK during the day but don't drink much late afternoon or evening. :blue thumb:

                          Good morning Folks,

I had a reminder come up on my phone this morning for Shineyland , even though I can’t physically be there today I’m going to spend my day thinking about @shiney garden :hapfeet:if I see some asparagus at the farm shop I will be sure to give it a little rub! @ARMANDII you now owe me two hugs! This is two years in a row I’ve been deprived! :grphg::whistle:.,

I’m getting some new hens today :dancy:, I took on a naughty hen from a friend this week (she’s an escape artist! :loll:) integrating one hen to a flock of four is almost impossible around work so the most logical thing to do is to buy my single hen some new friends! :wub2:

I hope you are all ok & keeping well, during these crazy times?

life ticks along here, I’m managing to keep busy....my working hours aren’t ideal right now but I have work, I’m fit & well so I really cannot complain. My garden is looking ok, I’ve had a few hours here & there to do some gardening so that’s been nice. The garden centre in the village has Opened again so I’m planning on popping in over the weekend...Id like two new clematis, a cucumber plant & some bedding plants......& anything else that takes my fancy!...I’m sure you all understand that! :hapydancsmil:

I’m off to do a grocery shop for some old people who are shielding in. I will pop in again as soon as I can.

Lots of love to you all, stay safe, keep calm :grphg: Xx

                            Good day
@shiney I love cleome but for some reason keep forgetting about it come seed ordering time. I must make a note on my calendar.

The crabapple tree stretches up just outside the office window where I am sitting at the moment and there are loads of beautiful dark pink buds on it. Such a nice greeting :)

@Upsydaisy I am the complete opposite of @Flumpy. I handle grieving best by keeping busy rather than relaxing and reflecting. It helps me to break up those really sorrowful moments because activities distract me. Each to our own :blue thumb:

I've had to shorten my thumb fingernails as they were cracking due to how much pressure I have to place, on the elastic for these masks, to get them impailed on the joiner tack. It seems to have helped a lot ;) I'm going to try to get 100 ready to package today and that will get me to the halfway mark :dbgrtmb:

And hopefully there will still be a few hours of sunshine to go out and play. I did make sure to water everything this morning in preparation for another sunny day!

@moyra there is no reason to stay inside. As long as you're not getting close to people other than those with whom you reside, or touching what they have handled, you can go out. If you want to take your pup for a walk and don't have a mask, simply tie one of your nice kerchiefs around your mouth and nose to help keep you safe and keep your distance. Six feet really isn't that much when you think of it. Not much different than the length of your bath tub or bed!

Have a good day all and let's keep stomping on the virus to flatten it! :paladin:

@Beckie76 It's lovely to hear from you and that you are well and still having your 'girls'.

We shall miss everyone that would normally turn up here today (all 500 of them!) but especially the GC crowd. We have been selling a lot of plants as people have been making appointments to come round for them. Since the slight lifting of the regs most of them that come round go for a wander round the garden - as long as they have gone before the next person arrives. Even the local bobby has said it's alright for people to come round as he considers us an open space as we don't have any gates and so they don't need to touch anything - and one of the locals 'claimed' we're a garden centre. :heehee:

Good morning Lori, I'm exactly the same as you... goodness knows how many times the house, floors etc. have been scrubbed and the flower beds weeded or the greenhouse reorganised during these last 2 weeks!!

It's a song on the radio or a sudden memory being jogged that catches me out, even in regards to my Mum still. But yes keeping busy is my way of coping too.:dbgrtmb:
