only half my plug plants turned up yesterday from Thompson and Morgan, I’ve emailed them as they are keeping there phone lines shut due to high demand, I should of got 72 I got 36

 

Hi everyone, @moyra I really hope that you're feeling at least a little better today.

Oh dear that's a shame @Flumpy ...are they plugs, or 'garden ready' plants. If they are plugs they will still require a bit of TLC.

Lovely day here again ,I have been planting out since very early and just enjoying a coffee and a read of my gardening magazine that came this morning.

Good morning
It was quite hot overnight and I didn't get much sleep. Was tempted to lie in but am excited that I am down to the last 58 face masks. These still need most of the sewing done but I am cheered by the amount completed and packaged. I put two in a clear cello bag and then heat sealed each bag.

I'm glad I wrote on my to do list to fill the bird bath first thing. Yesterday morning I discovered it full of mud which meant the raccoons had been around.

I emptied it last night before going to bed so as to take that opportunity away and needed the reminder to refill it because that is not my normal routine.

Another hot day coming up. We broke heat records yesterday - they said it was 31c - whatever that is in Fahrenheit .. And we'll be probably breaking the record today. Makes my sewing area a true "Sweat Shop"

Hi Upsydaisy, they are plug plants, I’ve just re potted them into individual pots and they are in my green house until they are a bit bigger, I’ve given them a good watering but not too much, have you been busy in the garden?

Hi @Flumpy ,yes very busy day . Planting out bedding,chopping back spent ones, finding new homes for some that have outgrown their space and getting rid of some I don't want anymore.....GETTING RID!!!! Never thought I would ever do such a drastic deed!!!

I managed to garden all day,despite still very warm we have had a nice breeze making it much more bearable. Going to continue planting out until about 9pm then we have an online grocery delivery.

Upsydaisy don’t over do today, your right it has been a lovely day, I wanted to sit in the garden but my neighbor is having work done on there roof so didn’t want to chance having a slate in my head , looking forward to the weekend

I asked for some advise yesterday on the weeds thread, but no one has got back to me, my friends lawn is full of buttercup weed, how do you get rid without ruining the lawn, here’s a picture.....

 

I wish I could help you @Flumpy but the weeds we get over here are rarely like those nice yellow buttercups.

Now. Could you not have moved your chair out of the danger zone and watched the muscles in motion? Thise fellows are usually quite fit! Naughty Lori ....
