Right, so let me get this straight.... I actually felt guilty today for going out to my local aquarium specialist for advice on an injured fish, despite the fact that they had a one way system, perspex screens and good physical distancing measures in place, and these dosy eejits get away with this? Thousands join UK protests over George Floyd death

Totally agree FC. Mind you. You could have saved yourself the trip, had you listened to the wee wife, and not battered the fish so much:whistle:

Seriously though. The 'don't care attitudes' of other really do make the thoughful and caring one feel guilty.

A few thoughts of my own.

It makes you wonder just how good the Chief Advisor to the PM really is. And how much advice given by him is clausable, when he appears to have such a minimalistic view of the warnings given by his own party.

I can understand why the police are taking no further action. They can't. MUPPET what's his name hadn't broken any laws.

His time on TV at No.10 Where the hell did that come from.? THe PM's loyal support tends to raise eyebrows.

More relaxations to the shutdown rules. Agreed, not only the MP's but all of us, have to be honest and admit. This pandemic has probably been the greatest laxative we have had. The scientist who have vast experiences of all kinds of viruses etc, also admit, they are searching for answers. So what chance of an MP who owns the local corner shop, have of solving the problem.
IMHO it is too early to drop our guard and get kids back to school and some sops open again. Just over the past weekend or so. Look at the news. People are still dying from Cov-19. At the same time many are in principle sticking two fingers up and say. I'll do it my way.

All this money that the chancellor has grabbed out of thin air. I reckon HM.GOV has realised this can't go on. Get people back to work. Bring on a budget, and start to tax the nation to the hilt.

Then if a second blast of this virus hits us, and to be honest. For various reasons I think that this virus and possible some new ones will hit the planet soon. What then is to become of the medical services. This reminds me of the Crimean war. No I wasn't there, Amandii......cheecky 'S'. The situation being that the medics were on their last legs, many were caring for and were on their last legs themselves.

Today our medics all need a medal. They also have families and sadly many have given their lives in the fight to save others. I wonder. I wonder if MP's have nighmares. All those vote catching promises. We will support our NHS and they will be given ???????millions. 'Cobblers'

You shouldn't feel guilty as you were sticking to the recommended way to conduct yourself - and I assume other people in there were sticking to the distancing.

Round here everyone is still distancing properly and I had to drive up to London (a suburb) to pick up a Click and Collect order and things there were good as well. Only two allowed in at a time with a short distancing queue outside and all wearing masks. People walking by on the pavement seemed to be taking care to distance. It was a busy shopping area (shops not open) with lots of takeaways all open and busy.

Nothing to feel guilty about, all within the rules and your fish need looking after no question.

Those morons joining in the protests in London make me very angry. My nephew is a met police officer and has to deal with those mindless idiots, he has already had the virus once along with the rest of his team, it was inevitable as they are on the front line.

Those protests could be done online, but no let's put other lifes at risk, and attack a few innocent coppers. I hope they have CCTV and stop their benefits and furlough money.

There are a lot of idiots around. One of our friends is a manager at an open area in central London. It is like a vast park (about 800 acres) but also has houses in it. The public have been crowding there and all the public toilets are closed. So people have been going to the loo all over the open spaces!:hate-shocked: Some of the residents have even caught people having a poo in their front gardens!!! :yikes: One of the residents got fed up with just yelling at them ("well, there's nowhere else to go.") and now keeps his hose ready and has hosed down a few of them. :blue thumb:

Last weekend the bbq's were out and a lot of people all at once visiting. We're just sitting back waiting for it all to happen again.

The government isn't listening to the science people anymore, it's all too soon.

Where people have gone to the beaches there's no toilets open, so they're doing it by the side of the road and not picking it up.

Yes I agree ,but it's undoubtedly a very tough call. The economy needs to get back up and running....as it is our children will be the ones with this huge bill to repay for many years to come.

Managed properly ....and that means everyone adhering to the guidelines without interpreting them to suit them or their families personal needs!!! .....it might..might just work .:fingers crossed:
Teeny tiny steps need to be taken with great caution. But it just takes an irresponsible flouting of the guidelines by a minority of people to cause a 'peak'.

The inference in the letter from the NHS is that because I am shielding, I should not leave the house at all until today and then only to go outside for a short time with one other member of my family. I'm not overly concerned, as I took what I believe to be reasonable care and even supplied my own gloves when it came to putting diesel in the car (I carry a box of them in the glove compartment) - however, it sort of makes a mockery of us taking care like that when the great unwashed decide to chuck themselves off cliffs, crowd beaches or shout obscenities at the police. :dunno:

                          With Apologies to William Wordsworth

I wandered lonely as a cloud
Two metres from the madding crowd.
When all at once my name was called
                          To enter Waitrose' hallowed hall
This was the pensioner' special hour,
I'd gone to get a bag of flour
But I forgot when through the door
What I had gone to Waitrose for.
The Waitrose staff were extra kind,
I told them it had slipped my mind.
They asked what else I had forgot.
They clearly thought I'd lost the plot.
I phoned my wife again to ask,
She told me of my special task:
"I need some flour to bake a cake
With all that cream you made me take."
"Ah yes, that's it," I had to lie.
(I dared not ask what flower to buy.)
But then I saw them by the tills -
                          A bunch of golden daffodils!

Not sure what this link will show, but My local news tonight.
It kind of points out the hysteria they are creating in some people when a blind person gets pushed over their guide dog and told to get away.

I know there are some pretty ignorant people out there at the best of times but the social distancing phrase is starting to get to me, if they keep going on about it they will wear people down and create a bunch of moronic idiots that are scared to live, let alone die.
